Peggy genuinely saved me with his music. Especially AMHAC, many times throughout the album it’s like he’s trying to pick you up and push you forward, inspiring on a literal and spiritual level. Not conforming, not succumbing, being unapologetically himself and pushing boundaries while doing so. There’s just something so fresh about that album it made made me grow as a person. Every interview I see with him I respect him more and more, greatest artist of our time imo.

That talk about the military/hierarchies/missing social cues hit hard because my autistic ass was so close to joining to Air Force, since I didn't feel like I had any other option at the time. Great work on the part of the interviewer, did very good with asking *just* the right questions and kinda stepping back to let Peggy speak.

Same. I scored high on ASVAB, helped recruit other high schoolers, and just wanted to the best job I could and what seemed like my only option. This was before Asperger’s was even commonly known, let alone ASD. I feel like if I had a diagnosis back then I could’ve looked at my options much more rationally. Still glad I failed that piss test and didn’t join. Some people view it as two years of JROTC wasted, I view it as the rest of my life going forward gained .

This man has ruined other music for me. His work is so damn good and different, that you can’t find a replica of it. He has just been working nonstop since he started more than a decade ago. Sadly, I wasn’t able to make it to an LP! Tour date, but i know that next time he goes on tour, I am making it a priority to go see this man live. Legit my favorite artist, and his persona really inspired me to just embrace myself and not care about judgment. I always cringe when I hear people say “(random artist) literally saved my life”, but peggy’s music was there to keep me feeling pumped and confident when nothing else would, to a point where I was able to shred my insecurities on my own.
