It's a fool's errand to compare someone in his prime to that same person 30 years later. Taken in a vacuum, this performance is magnificent! Junior's picking and playing are amazing. Enjoy what you have for what it is now, not what you want it to be or what it used to be.

Found Junior looking for Hot Rod Lincoln. My God, How come I never heard of him? I have a friend who dj's an indie station's country and bluegrass show, who really got me hooked. With a week of heavy rain here in central va, and cooped up inside,I have watched everything I can find online of this man. He is amazing.

Was lucky enough to happen upon Jr. and his great band back in 2004 at Bumbershoot in Seattle , I was checking out my VHS of that event this morning and went to his website to see where he was at these days! So great he and his killer rythmn playing wife are still active!

Was at this show and nearly every show when he comes to KC since 1993. He has started to hate the the train that goes by the saloon more and more each year :) Headed to SC and Virginia after Labor Day to catch he and Tanya Rae along with Old Crow Medicine Show. Fricking wanted this double bill for YEARS!

I've seen JB a bunch of times, my band opened for him when he was town. I've watched every single thing on YT, this was definitely an off night. He still kicks ass regardless, but it's like he has the flu, and his riffs are crazy slow on this show. Everybody has an off night, I'll give him a mulligan on this one.

I hope junior comes to chicago this year 2018 never seen junior live other than here on KZitem would love to see him at buddy guys place downtown I think buddy guy and junior could do a great jam together or not. Both are great guitarists playing a long time buddy a while longer he is almost 80 I think and junior is no spring chicken either buddy is primarily blues and junior is mostly country a country Hendrix who can play the blues no doubt ala Albert king style
