@PVMacFunkBox The drums aren't as low as you think. In fact, I would even say its the same height as PV's leg rests. The only difference is that WT straps up to the screws on the drums while yall have an accessory for that (correct me if I'm wrong about that, haven't seen PV's drum section in 2 years). And there is wrist involved in the snare drum. It happens the last second before they strike the drum. It's just that WT plays for power. I could write alot more but KZitem won't let me lol.

I don't know why ya'll always hating on the traditional black drum-lines. they are probably chopping ya'll asses down on every rudiment. These are college students. Meaning that they are more advanced than most of you little guys out there. I played drum core and show style. I like the show style better because the cadences that we play are written by people that were before us. and that there is an actual tradition, instead of playing something that the band instructor made up last night.

@FrostyNacho at PV we use angle bars and that what we strap up to not the screws..that mite explains why the drum leans forward and tilts a little. No hate intended just telling you what i see. And thy do play with power because when your drum is not level then there is more space in between the stick and the drum. Whe the drum is level the you only use wrist sometimes arm for power but anyway Jstate is good and they are one of the phunkiest in the natio...but it still just LOOKS sloppy.

And that would mean something if WT came after 1981. Most of the cadences being played pre-dates 1981. So what evidence can you bring forward if your tapes only go back to 1981? Either you're jumping to conclusions or someone lied to you.

@RiZiNman its the play style and the location theyre from man. SWAC is more south west, they had funk music, they play on drums like this for the traditional sound, therefore with a looser head, you have to "flail" more. you hate on shit when youre culturally and artistically blind. thanks for your input though.

Dat same shit is old now at least by 20 years. I'm just saying switch it up. People act like what they favorite band do CAN'T BE BETTER. STOP LYING TO YOURSELF!!! As for me posting a clip, i PERSONALLY dont have one. But what u can go do is look at NCA&T drumline from some of they band battles. In fact Im goonna find the clips for you.

It's cause JSU fans are indenial of the fact that their band is changing and that the only thing that separates them from Southern is their weak arrangements, their weak halftime shows, and their Drum Majors. I can't call them weak cuz they are cool but SU drum major has more swagg.

"World Famed" "son". Super Bowl "son". And don't think the versions of GSU band u see now reflect what I was a part of cause it dont. I marched under different leadership and we were solid. Now Im not knocking ya section altogether. Lets just say your funktrains are not appealing to me and look very similar.
