The people who criticize Halford just don't understand the spirit. Halford doesn't care about still sounding good or not. He will still go on stage until the very end. It is in his blood and will always be. Just like Lemmy. This kind of people do not retire. He will keep on rocking until his very last breath. And I will be here for it. The simple fact of seeing these incredible Heavy Metal icons on stage, displaying their astounding creations, is too precious. Long Live Rock'N'Roll 🤘

We've already taken quite a hit with old school metal legends passing away, but we're getting to a time when were not going to have many of them left. Experience them when you can, there is nothing like 70s/80s metal bands and we may never see their like again. I was fortunate to still see AC/DC when Malcolm was still around on the Black Ice Tour. Ive seen Iron Maiden several times, but never seen Judas Priest. Might be time to see them if they do another tour. Might be the last time. I don’t understand the criticism they’re getting from their performance here. They’re very much up there in age, and it blows me away that Rob can even sing this that well still. Plenty of bands their age don’t sound as good, but Priest sounds phenomenal compared to them. And the fact Rob can still hit those notes at all still, is amazing. Even if he has to substitute them with deep growls, he sounds good!

I have been a huge JP fan from the early 70's and I still am. But now I think it would be good to consider retiring for JP. It is the same with Kiss, Whitesnake, Deep Purple. Please save your mighty musical legacy for us with dignity.
@ertandbernie7706
Жыл бұрын
I don’t think Priest runs any risk of tarnishing their legacy. Aside from Rob hitting a few rough patches on Painkiller (a song that has never been as smooth live as it was in the studio) what on earth do they need to save their mighty musical legacy from? The studio output is still phenomenal. Firepower was a fantastic album, and the new single they just dropped hints at an album even better than firepower. They’re still one of the tighter live metal bands performing today. Apart from strain in painkiller and the more complex songs, Halford’s voice is still totally serviceable. I don’t see any criticism for any of the other band members that would warrant retirement. Are Priest in their prime? No. Do they need to hang it up asap to avoid tarnishing their legacy as Kiss, Motley Crue, and others have done? Absolutely not. Modern Judas Priest is still, by all means, a good band.
