No, the judge has no business asking about her jewelery AND he was first on being humorous when he said "Bye bye" with a sarcastic tone and his face expression. All she did was to say "goodbye" in a different language and smile. So no, it was unfair!
@chriserwalk4386
10 жыл бұрын
4400seriesFAN He's asking because he's determining the bond amount. For example, if she's a flight risk, then setting a bond amount of $5,000 when she owns $50,000-worth of jewelry, houses, cars, etc. etc., then it wouldn't deter her from not appearing on her court date. She may not show up at all, so while she may not want to answer that question, then she's only doing herself a disservice.
@4400seriesFAN
10 жыл бұрын
Grim Fandango OK, there goes that. He was still wrong to call her back for saying "Adios!"...
@chriserwalk4386
10 жыл бұрын
4400seriesFAN That's debatable. If he was actually being sarcastic, then I'm inclined to agree with you. I know a lot of people that actually say "bye-bye". The judge controls the courtroom. It would be no different if an offender began yelling and preventing a sexually-abused victim from testifying. If the judge doesn't control her behavior, then the next one may do the same thing. Eventually, he doesn't have control over his own courtroom.

You say she thinks the whole process is a joke. Why do you say that? The laughing? He's asking her a very specific question she can't realistic answer. About money no less, which makes some people uncomfortable. Could easily be nervousness. The "adios"? Didn't sound like it was meant disrespectful. The cursing you expect to get punishment for. However, contempt is a bit much for a single comment. Judge was being an asshole however polite he may have sounded

jack johnson Because that's the normal behaviour most spoilt teenage girls display when they're trying to look as innocent and harmless as possible. Notice how she wouldn't stop touching her hair? That's a habit alot of girls do when they're trying to be all giggly and flirty to get someone to like them. She hoped it'd make the judge go easy on her. Thankfully she was wrong and now she'll become someones bitch in jail for a month. :)

@Over Yonder wow, way to simp for someone who's being blatantly disrespectful in court. If anything, he should've found her in contempt much earlier but held back. When you're before the court, you say yes/no your honour and answer any questions quickly, respectfully and most importantly honestly. Don't pussyfoot around the question and say "Rick Ross" when he wants a numerical estimate. Court is not the time to laugh or giggle. And he asked her if she was intoxicated because she was behaving unusually - turns out she was on drugs during this hearing. Her next appearance when she's sober is in stark contrast to this one, and the judge shows leniency and strikes some of the charges. And since the courtroom is his domain, you do what he says since your future is in his hands. I've seen people rack up so many charges on a courtroom and end up serving 15 years for what should've been 6 months because they couldn't keep their mouth shut.

These types of entitled brats made by enabling parents usually get dealt with later in life either by tough random people or tough boss at work (not always because they are good manipulators), tough criminals or tough police officers judge. Normally raised kids know the limits, grown up brats only follow the limits when beaten into them. Although unfortunatly, in societies of feminism where people, bosses, police and judges go easy on women almost systematically, they only meet their beating with tough criminals.

@@philazikalala9964 One of the responsibilities of being a parent is guiding the child and teaching them about morals and how to be socially conscious of their actions. The first thought is usually to blame the parents because they’re the ones who brought the child to the world and should teach them about socially accepted behavior. If the child chooses not to follow the teachings, then yes, it would be on them and not the parents (that is if there’s “proof” that the parents attempted to steer the child on the right path to begin with anyway).
