here's a translation of the lyrics and as for the title it comes to "That's life" or something like that in french but it's left untrasnalted in the lyrics I've found Those have the courage, who, frozen with fear Still swing in the saddle, Who don't let their ship sink In the entire journey during the stroms Courage is always the beginning So it's not worth looking back Always forwards, never backwards Happiness is waiting on the street Because who doesn't fight, has already lost Only those who fall get back up C‘est la vie (Wo-oh-oh) This is how life takes its course Death is our companion He's a dear friend for sure And the world keeps going around Even in the dark years of hunger Godfather Death signs the end So it's not worth looking back Always forwards, never backwards Happiness is waiting on the street Because who doesn't fight, has already lost Only those who fall get back up C‘est la vie (Wo-oh-oh) This is how life takes its course So we have sworn Our fire will never burn out C‘est la vie (Wo-oh-oh) Never give up Never give up Never give up (Wo-oh-oh) After the ebb comes the flood And wild storms spark the embers Those who see the fear have the real courage And the ride right into the victory C‘est la vie Because who doesn't fight, has already lost Only those who fall get back up C‘est la vie (Wo-oh-oh) This is how life takes its course So we have sworn Our fire will never burn out C‘est la vie (Wo-oh-oh) Never give up Never give up C‘est la vie (Wo-oh-oh) This is how life takes its course So we have sworn Our fire will never burn out C‘est la vie (Wo-oh-oh) Never give up Never give up

I've only come across this band recently as well. Apart from the songs you mentioned I know two more songs by them: Feuer und Flamme and Wallenstein. They are both awesome. Besides, the lead singer has another band called Feuerschwanz. They have a similar sound. Looking forward to more reactions.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! And I think I saw a video by the other band and went "is that the same guy?!" lol So that helps too :D

Did you notice that they recently did an English version of this song?: kzitem.info/news/bejne/1qOOtYl9jH6Jf4o (It's not a öiteral translation, but it gets the gist of the song quite well I think) Another newer song by them I found pretty awesome was: "My love's in Germany", even if that is another more grave songs. Anyways: I am German and my reaction was exactly the same as yours... apparently emotion is transported via the music very well.

This type of music is called Folk-Rock 🙂 you can also check out their Song Farewell (feat. Patty Gurdy) - I love it. Also if you like this kind of music, I can recommend Feuerschwanz or Saltatio Mortis :) Greetings from Germany ❤️

Folk-Rock is definitely not the term that comes to mind listening to this, much too rocking lol. And I'll definitely have to check the others out as well, thank you! It kind of sucks not knowing what they're saying, but it sounds so awesome, I don't care much either lol. *waves from Florida*

@@jujukittychick473 perhaps you can call it also Medival-Rock... It's a little bit difficult to determine. 🙂 This song is from the new album which came out last week and it sounds a little bit different, compared to the previous Albums. To the problem of understanding, perhaps you can take the lyrics and use a translation program? 🙂

i think the original song would probably be considered as folk, I just have a different idea of how "folk music" sounds I think. lol i like medieval-rock idea though :D Yeah, i'm familiar with translation programs from having to translate some of the comments I get elsewhere, it's always kind of hit or miss, but at least you can get the general idea

@@jujukittychick473 This latest album is more rock-heavy for sure, but some of their earlier work is distinctly more folky. A few of their songs are actually traditional folk tunes--they did a German version of "The Parting Glass" that is absolutely gorgeous. Would recommend!
