Even hearing these bad quality live videos you get a sense that it should be pretty good album, probably, some of the best music these days. Julian's vocals are so experimental, careless but natural and extremely catchy at the same time. Looking forward to the album version of these songs more than to anything else in terms of music. The part of this song is in 'can I vhs you' album preview video. Sounds like a best thing ever.

Favorite song on Tyranny. This video doesn't even come close to show how good it is

hi! i have some questions! so i bought tickets to the FYF fest to see the strokes play and Julian Casablancas + Voidz are playing too. Im wondering what songs will the Voidz most likely be playing? Are they gonna play music from julian's solo album "Phrazes for the Young" ? or do they already have some of their music out? and if they do, can you please tell me the songs? Im more into the strokes then julian's solo work, so i just really need some answers! LOL

they (the voidz) play all new songs, some of the casablancas' solo album, and maybe one or two tracks off the strokes' albums.

Kind of curious to see how it plays out with The Strokes... I really hope this isn't it for them. I love PFTY and I'm highly anticipating The Voidz album but I really hope The Strokes aren't over and done with. RCA contract ended and maybe they have too.. Sigh..

They left RCA but they recently signed with BMG, also in June they are playing their first show since the release of Comedown Machine. I can gladly say we haven't seen the last of them.

It seems like they're sticking together. Honestly, I think it has a lot to do with Julian being a perfectionist. He almost entirely removed himself from the creative process of Angles because that was the only way he knew of to give the other guys a chance to contribute, and some awesome stuff resulted from that (especially from Nick), even though the album was uneven as a whole. It wasn't a bad idea. They SHOULD collaborate, but Julian is the one with the most talent and the best vision and he needs to be involved while also being detatched enough not to micromanage everything or shoehorn the guys into playing a style of music they don't feel comfortable with. If he needs to have another band on the side where he can get out all of his crazy stuff then that's probably better for The Strokes than if he wasn't, and it's definitely better for us since we get more music out of it.
