This is very bittersweet, because this is a year before she had the throat surgery, that ruined her singing voice.

Oh Rosie . . . you were the best. I loved her talk show, because she was one of us . . . just a fan who was excited to meet somebody she admired, whether it be Julie Andrews, or Barbra Streisand, or Mary Tyler Moore, or even Susan Dey from the Partridge Family. I loved the way she fawned over all her guests, excitingly asking them questions in that heavy Long Island accent of hers.

Say what you want about Rosie, but her talk show was first rate back in the day. She's an exceptional interviewer. She could make me laugh. And was very knowledgeable. She just seemed like someone you'd want to be friends with.

Mike Mercado I totally agree. And she went to war with Donald Trump. She bit off more than she can chew on that one. Just saying I enjoyed her show. Didn't like the way she railroaded Tom Selleck tho.

Beautiful Film "The Sound of Music" Without you Julie It would never have been such a big film.. With Christopher Plummer as well >there was much Chemistry. Grew up loving you all, and found out recently Angela Cartwright is a maternal cousin xx from Southampton England. Love to sing those songs 🎼 Loved "Thouroughly Modern Milly"

I loved seeing this. Rosie is terrific doing this interview and in general. Julie. I was a fan from the beginning. It’s a real tragedy that a throat doctor made a mistake and she was no longer able to sing. She always took great care of it but it was gone forever. I will always wish her joy.

Regarding the part a little after 13:00, Julie Andrews swearing isn't particularly shocking. She said several rude words in "10" and she used the "s" and "f" words several times in "Duet for One".

This is the show that ruined her voice. Hearing her describe it, the experience of it, it’s no wonder. I heard the cast recording at the first release, and my first thought was “oh. Eat a week… She’s going to get in trouble.“ The whole show was in one part of her voice, with almost no relief. Nodes on the vocal cords resulted, and an error during surgery…
