@@Geojr815MJ played against the stronger conference at the time in a more physical game, Lebron played in the weaker conference, he wouldn’t have had half as many trips to the finals had he been in the west. When Lebron loses to great teams it’s always “he needs more help” , but then they will bring up Jordan losing in the 80’s as if he wasn’t playing some of the best teams of all time as well. There is no objective reasoning to put Lebron ahead of Jordan, the accolades are far apart and Jordan accomplished way more in less time

@@acrlandon8389 This argument is not even based on individual performance this is mostly about team achievements and challenges. Context matters dude. Lebron dominated the league his whole career but got practically zero help his first 7 years with the Cavs. He then proceeded to go to the finals 10 straight years and only lost to super teams way better than any team MJ and the Bulls had to play. That weak conference argument is so dumb. There were always great teams in the East Lebron had to get through. The only time the East was weak was Lebron’s last year in Cleveland but he still carried a very bad supporting cast to the finals and lost to the Kd Warriors. So idk what you’re talking about. Those stacked Bulls haha!!!! First 3peat aside from Scottie, who Michael worked & worked with from a bench player avg 7pts into Scottie. The other starters Paxon, Grant & Cartwright. STACKED!?? Wtf?!? Who’d they add for the 2nd 3peat?.Rodman, who was supposedly passed his prime when the Bulls swept Detroit in 1991 but I’m sure he’s fine in 1996 right. Other 2starters Ron Harper the ZERO time all star & Luc Longley. Stacked! 6th man Tony Kukoc was nice off the bench though, then Kerr, Wennington, Buechler, Brown, Sally just stacked lol! Let me cut off the “he lost in the playoffs before Scottie” desperate argument before someone inevitably tries it. This is to imply that Jordan wasn’t anything until Scottie came. Although he was torching the league the minute he entered it being named rookie of the year. 2nd yr broke the Rec for points in the playoffs against the team that went on to win the Chip that year. Won his 1st scoring title the next year in 1987. Next year in 1988 he was league MVP, won scoring title, won DPOY, led the league in steals, named All NBA 1st team offense & defense, all star game MVP, dunk champ. Michael was the best on both sides of the ball before Scottie was there & he was the best on both sides of the ball when Scottie was there. All jordan needed was one good person to help him win it all. So the people saying Jordan didn’t win without pippen are only proving how incredible Jordan was. All he needed was ONE player, just ONE, to help him & the rest is history… Sorry for the novel length comment lol but it still could be much longer realistically….Jordan The GOAT!

Some games on the weekend. Dr J was a premier player, and may have had the first shoe deal. Also Kareem, Oscar Robinson, and Jerry West were premier players. When Magic Johnson entered the league 79 the NBA went to prime time. From 79-80 to 90-91 seasons, 12 years, the showtime Lakers went to the NBA championship finals an astonishing 9 times, and won it 5 times. Bird went to the NBA finals 5 times and won 3 championships. Kareem went to the NBA finals 10 times and won 6 championships. For his first 6 years 84-90 MJ was a non-factor. MJ's omnipotent skills could not will the Bulls a championship. Dr. J knows Michael was better and greater than LeBron, but I am sure in his heart he believes that he could’ve won 6-8 rings with MJ’s teams and Phil Jackson as his coach too, and he’s probably right! The MJ vs. LeBron argument is like arguing which sitcom was greater, The Cosby Show or Family Matters. Yes, the latter was great, but great in a more typical way. The former was absolutely groundbreaking and produced more successful actors. There’s no question about which is greater; the only question is by how much. Steve Urkel is NOT Heathcliffe Huxtable, and Laura is not Denise Huxtable. And nobody on Family Matters could touch Theo, Olivia, or Rudy. Even the Kobe of modern black sitcoms (A Different World) and the Shaq (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) cannot touch the Cosby Show, and both were clearly better and more important than Family Matters, so how can Family Matters even touch the Cosby Show? LeBron needs to be satisfied with being Urkel. He did a lot.

They don't understand that... I agree with you 💯. Jordan went against all times great pf and c. Jordan never went against another player like him. That is why I always said that bron had a harder competition. Jordan was a SG that was more athletic, faster than any of his competitors. Who was mj competition john starks, Clyde, Kevin Johnson, Gary they weren't on Jordan level. In all the players I just named had all time great pf and C on their team. It was easy for mj to play liked he played. If you put Bron in that era bron would won every year cause he more athletic, faster, and stronger than the players in the 80s and the 90s.

Put this question to rest. Both these men are already NBA history. This conversation robs a new generation of players the attention their talents are due.

Nailed it. Basically, I’ll tell you it was Jordan once Labron is done playing. (By the way I love Labron)

Skip really slipped in disrespect to Dr. J by calling him Julius on purpose. Similar to the reporter refusing to call Deion Sanders “Coach Prime” even after it was requested.

Doc low-key said Mike was better. By the way, Doc doesn't think Jordan, is the GOAT. He's got Kareem as the GOAT, but he is low-key saying Jordan is better than Lebron.

Why did LeBron James start wearing the number '23' Jersey? M.J 's name is synonymous with basketball. Like Shaq said, anybody who is playing now is just a copycat MJ. Everyone wants to be like him.

To see where I stood I tried out for Virginia Squires before assignment to Rhein Main AB in Frankfurt, Germany. Made first cut because of jumper. Dr J, Iceman (George Gervin, Charlie Scott were there. A player stated “Doc is best ever”. That was 1974, 50 years ago. Doc was nasty, but it got nastier. This young man drafted #1 will introduce new chapter. My Goat? Ask LeBron (MJ-5 Star General 🏀
