This can definitely help polish up your two foot jumping technique.. If your technique isn't very good now, then doing these exercises will add inches to your vertical almost instantly. What will also help improve your vertical is getting into a strength training routine. Have you done any strength training before? Please DM on Instagram @RisingLionFitness so I can help you further! 🏆

height is only 1 part of the formula, your hip strength, vertical force, form, penultimate step, momentum all determine how high you can jump more than just your height. Height only makes it easier per say.

should the foot the you used for momentum be at the front?
@risinglionfitness

That's right. If you were to push off of your left foot into the stride, then you would first land on your right foot and then the left would turn over the top to the front!

Hey coach, I jump higher with a shorter penultimate step. How is that possible? The shorter step comes naturally to me, and the longer stride I have to consciously force myself. What do I do? Am I sacrificing more inches due to this? Here you can see my tennis ball dunk - I was only able too do it, when I stopped thinking about technique and just did it naturally: kzitem.info/news/bejne/yoh-lqmGiImbiag
@risinglionfitness

I dont think your sacrificing inches at all! Some people have a short stride some have a longer stride, which is totally fine. Some of the best dunkers in the world have a short stride. Also, having a shorter stride is more conducive to a game type scenario because it allows for a quicker takeoff. I think what's is most important, is the amount of speed you're able to bring into your jump!
