Love all your self made clothes. The pj set you could use the shirt for a blouse. You are an elegant sewer. Love the top you are wearing with the periwinkle pants. Love the color and the print on the side. They all look beautiful on you.

I love to see basics in beautiful quality fabrics! I could totally wear those black pants so much (minus the drawstring 😂 I get annoyed by drawstrings) Your self drafted tank is spot on. Very inspiring as always.

Thanks so much! Great fabric is always the key, isn’t it? It really elevates a simple silhouette. I totally get being annoyed with the drawstrings!

I have just found your videos, such beautiful makes and love the attention to detail for finishing. I think a beautiful cream shirt (in the pj top pattern) would look lovely with the black trousers and the blue ones your wearing ❤

Thanks so much Sarah! So glad you found the channel! Great suggestion- I'm thinking about making that top and the skirt in a nice neutral tone- and I do have some lovely cream fabric in my stash.

Morning Rebecca, just love all your outfits. The attention you give to detail and your sewing skills are phenomenal. I particularly love the periwinkle blue pants you are wearing. Thank you again for sharing with us and the time and love you infuse each vlog with.❤ I look forward and appreciate each vlog you publish. Once again thank you so much❤ A quick question - for woven garments do you use a 3 or 4 thread serger? Another question - with Vogue 1437 did you need to modify your periwinkle pants? Also wondering why you needed a size 16?

Thanks so much Francesca! Always happy to answer any questions! I usually use a 4 thread serger stitch- unless I'm doing a narrow hem. My silk skirt has a 3 thread narrow hem finish. The periwinkle pants had the zipper moved to the back (the pattern has a fly front closure). I did no other modifications. That pattern is from 1994 and the 16 felt true to size for me B 38, W 30, H 40. I'm currently 36, 29, 41. I find most Vogue patterns today have too much ease built in so I usually cut a 12-14. Older patterns I always stick to the measurements. I find the true vintage patterns fit my shape best so I rarely need to do any alterations. Hope you're having a great weekend!
