At the recommendation of City Manager Erik Tungate, the Oak Park City Council approved making Juneteenth a City holiday! Juneteenth is a holiday marking the end of slavery in the US and we are proud to recognize and celebrate this event.
With Juneteenth now being recognized as a City holiday, City offices will be closed. However, there will still be a celebration! Join us at the Juneteenth Celebration from 4-9 pm on the green space next to City Hall. There will be food, music, dancing and more!
