Chicago blues icon Junior Wells performed at the Fox Valley Blues Society's "Blues on The Fox" festival in Aurora, IL in June of 1997. Shortly before he was scheduled to go onstage, he agreed to a brief, impromptu interview in the Sky Room of the former Leland Hotel in Aurora, site of numerous recording sessions by blues greats such as Wells early influence John Lee "Sonny Boy" Williamson in the late 1930s and early '40s. Several weeks after the festival, Wells was diagnosed with cancer and ceased public appearances; he died in January of the following year.
The entire interview is around 13:00 minutes long, so I've split it up into two parts in order to meet youtube's 10:00 maximum length requirement.
