Three generations of freshmen have become seniors in the time it took Nate to complete 3/4s of his high school survival guide. Each video is therefore directed toward an entirely different audience, yet those who grew up with the originals are naturally inclined to check out the new installment. That’s not laziness. That’s a sigma-level marketing game coming from Nate. Catch up, KZitem algorithm.

Pro tip!!! If your high school has some kind of economics class, TAKE IT BEFORE YOU GRADUATE. IT IS IMPORTANT. It WILL teach you extremely important information about money that you use for your WHOLE LIFE. It also helps with college planning. You will learn how to do taxes, buy a house, a car, get a bank account, stocks, and retirement. I took it freshman year and it was absolutely the most important class I’ve taken so far. It taught me so much about college scholarships and personal finance than I have learned anywhere else to date. It might sound like a boring class for nerds, and sometimes it is. But this class covers stuff that you need to function as an adult, and I highly recommend you learn it from a trained teacher

My junior year is almost over but I still feel so much like a child. It feels like time is going faster than me. I haven't even bothered to learn how to drive because anything that sounds like growing up sounds terrible (also because I'm a forgetful idiot). They say high school is supposed to be the best years of your life, but my high school experience is only slightly better than my middle school experience. If it's still bad now, then it makes me think that adulthood is going to be way worse. It feels like there's no point in growing up if life is just going to inevitably get worse. I'm always hearing about how miserable most adults are and that it's an endless cycle of working with little free time until you die. That kind of stuff sounds worse than death. Edit: So my tried to edit this bug youtube be bugging I guess. Anyway I'm a high school graduate now (yay!) but more specifically I went and prioritized my mental health this year and I did my whole senior year online and have never been happier. I also got a therapist who is very awesome and kind. I have higher hopes for the future than before although I'm still kinda skeptical so I hope it works out. P.S. still waiting on senior year survival guide 😉

Adulthood has somethings to look forward to. Having the time and money to do the things you enjoy outside of work/school is amazing! You can seek out communies and activities outside of school that better align with your interests!! My main advice for adulthood and just life in general is to be your own advocate. Look and search for the things in life you enjoy and pursue them. One thing that really helped me my Junior year was just researching potential school/career/job options after graduation since I had no idea what I wanted to do for a career. Specifically taking career tests helps alot since it uses your desired work style, skills, education, and interests to find you some careers you might be interested in. If you are concerned about money responsibilities I recommend using your school conselors, bank or state resources since they will answer any questions you have and be willing to help.

Hey there, you're going to be ok!! I know it is sad to grow up and watch your childhood disappear, but just know that there are a bunch of fun, knew opportunities that come with being an adult! You can be your own person and don't need to rely on your parents anymore and can finally be yourself away from them. You finally have freedom!!! You can make a bunch of new friends, especially if you choose to go to college! You can explore new places and see new things, you can have a family and raise some kids if you so choose (and, of course, if you can provide for them.) I know this is all very scary, I'm scared too, believe me, but if you have a positive mindset and go into the world with an open mind, it's probably gonna treat you better than if you have a negative mindset. So don't be scared! You now have the freedom to try new things and meet new people. I'm here for you and I know you'll do great things in the future!!! 💖💖
