If noone has explained to you yet, that when you zigzag off the edge of the paper to give your journal an edging, it called "overcasting". An overcast stitch. I know this is an old video, but having just found your channel I'm beginning to realize I can do this. I have a friend who wanted a paper placemat written on and she was just going to tuck it away some place and eventually it will be ruined. But with the different techniques I have seen in the last few days, I'm going to be able to preserve that placemat for her to treasure for the rest of her life. She is 88. Noone knows how long we will be here, but to preserve this placemat from Mother's Day 2024, will make a special gift for her. So thank you for sharing your talent.

I just discovered your channel today from your tutorial on how to make fancy pens, then you taught me how to make the most BEAUTIFUL paper beads that I am just dying to try. I have calendars my mother collected since the 90s as well as SO many National Geographic magazines that my father collected for many many years. I havent been able to throw them away due to sentimental reasons so I have been keeping them stored away for crafts to try one day. You have inspired me to try so many new things this year and I cannot wait. Thank you for taking the time to make these amazing videos. Your channel is a gold mine!!!

I am so terribly sorry for your loss and I hope that you have been continuing to evolve and explore. Hello Natasha! Bravo! You are an amazing teacher. Your organization, creativity and presentation skills are second to none. I enjoyed watching this video and writing down each step and process. I feel confident that through your lesson I can make an envelope journal. In fact, I can’t wait to get started! Thank you for the thought and LOVE you put into each and every segment of your work. Don’t ever apologize for making a video that is too long. It’s very helpful for people like me. You see, am 71 and have short term memory issues. I look at my accumulated journal supplies and don’t know what to do with them. Frequently I have to rewatch a video before I begin to make one of any I purchased a particular punch. In five minutes I can forget something you said. That’s why I have filled an entire notebook with your instructions and keep them by my side as I work - and/or watch a video as needed. I thank God for you, Natasha. Because of you I can create artistic journals, it just takes me much longer than it would the average person. Keep the videos coming. You are an Angel. 🤗❤️ Phyllis

I know this is a pretty old video, but I still wanted to comment :). I love your channel, your tutorials are so easy to follow and I love how you point out that nothing is really a mistake. This video in particular inspired me. I recently made a journal using this technique and filled it with personal ephemera that I inherited from my Grandmother who sadly took her life before I was born. I gave this to my mother (her daughter) and she cried pretty hard while looking at it, but she loved it and said my grandmother would also have loved how I used her old papers and notes. Thank you for touching my family's hearts by sharing your art and how to make it my own.

Thanks for this detailed tutorial. Today I finished my first ever junk journal to give to my husband [42 years!] for Sweetheart day. He loved it and I felt so blessed. I'm not crafty but you teach so well and make it so much fun!

Loved this! Usually I have loads of those kinds of envelopes but after a recent purge I cant find any! Isn't that just typical? Might have a try with an ordinary envelope and put an acetate window in. Maybe... 😂😂❤

Of course. Typical! Always happens that way, doesn't it? I'm sure you'll have some bills coming in no time!
