I think it's a combo of his mother having the combined powers of Lady Liberty, and Utopian. I think it triggered it to be more effective. Or it could just be a recessive -variable like that of red hair for example, someone not having the trait being with someone who has the trait as a dominate, doesn't guarantee it, but does give a 2 out of 4 chance, but gives the offspring the trait now as a recessive, giving their offspring a 3 of 4 chance.

I actually think I liked this comic’s story better and the art suited it really well - almost had a Watchmen vibe. I liked the bluntness of Legacy and the great dichotomy between the kids and their parents and even the art as well. Both were great, but I think Circle barely wins for me.

As Dannymalt said, they are both pretty different. I like them both but prefer Legacy over Circle just because Legacy left me wanting more and I would have been fine with a single volume of Circle. I like the art more in Legacy, but I read them after they were all out. Circle's art is still mice, so it wouldn't have been worth the wait at the time, I don't think.

It's odd seeing so many characters smoking so freely in comics as that hasn't been a thing in comics for decades. It was a classic anti-hero theme or villain theme in the 80's for DC and marvel up till mid 90's. Before that it was common. Ofc there is the few odd balls still like Lobo, John Constantine, The Question, Wolverine, Nick Cage, and Jonah Jameson, but back in the day, Bruce Wayne did, Storm, Gambit, Professor X, Jean gray, The Thing, hell even superman once did a entire box of cigars at once to make a smoke screen. I remember watching Disney cartoons in the late 70's early 80's where nearly all the Disney characters have smoked at least once, some even chain smoking, its just something that kinda hit me, that was a big chance due to the comics ethnics code.

@Johnathanbyers

Its cool how all these are connected to the same timeline as kickass. Jupiter’s legacy is the fictional retelling of the real super heroes that once existed in the world of kickass before they all seemingly disappeared or were killed off. People had forgotten about those with powers and they became legends people like dave would read about in comics. So when he showed up ass kickass people in our modern times called him the first super hero. And after he showed up others took up arms and became vigilantes as well. Years later people with real superpowers started to pop up again and a brand new age of heroes was born. And it was all kicked off again by some kid with no powers calling himself “kickass”. Its pretty damn cool from a storytelling and world building aspect. I forgot which comic it was but you see a panel of the real and destroyed costumes the heroes the people in jupiters legacy were based on

Another note: It's a good thing seeing Blue Bolt tell Hoover off. If only more people were morally as strong as comic book characters. Dumb ass closed viewpoints.
