From the beginning, it's unfair to believe everything you're told without seeing it with your own eyes because the person who told you that info might lie. Use your brain and choose which is to believe. And fact check it yourself. See it with your own eyes and decide which one to believe. This is the common theory. I can't believe the Westerners are so stupid enough not to know this.

When I first visited China, I was absolutely pleasantly surprised as well. It was NOTHING like USA and the West told us back home. Alternatively, when I first visited USA I was also shockingly surprised as well. Again it was NOTHING like USA and the West told us back home. China was modern, futuristic, generally people were fit, they had the most AMAZING Civic Infrastructures and most affordable Civic Services throughout the Country, USA was modern, but only in places where Billionaires lived (LA, NYC, LV) ... and only within the suburbs of the places where Billionaires lived. But for most of the country the Civic Infrastructures needed serious maintenance or replacements/constructions, and the Civic Services were NOT affordable to millions of USA Citizens. I could not believe that the richest Country in the world have 70 Million (out of 340 Million) living in poverty. And the stupid Gun Laws in USA where they allow 40,000 Gun related deaths every year, mainly amongst the poor, so that the Corporates can make billions in profit every years, and it is also a means of culling their poor population, saving paying out government social security financial support. China had a Government that totally focused on the needs of EVERY ONE of their citizens (1.5 Billion people). USA had a Government that heavily focused on the interests of CORPORATIONS regardless they have 70 Million, out of 340 Million, living poverty (and the numbers are growing daily).

@dranzacsparta8002 In the US, corporates rule the government. In China, the government rules over everyone especially the corporates. There are many reasons why western countries governments don't want their people to visit and see China? No. 1. To see China super infrastructures. No. 2. To see how clean, green, tidy, organized and safe for foreign travellers. No. 3. How friendly Chinese are to foreign travelers. No. 4. To know how China government can provide the Chinese people with such good, cheap and convenient public transportations. No.5. Why they the foreign visitors don't see homeless people on the streets in China. If the people see all the above they will know they have been lied by their governments all the while. Beside with all the sky high taxes they are paying compared to Chinese paying very little tax or some not paying at all. Yet Chinese government is able to provide the people with such modern and super infrastructures and services. Once the people see China, they will realize how useless and incompetent their governments are compared to Chinese government.

We holidayed in China for 3 weeks on our own, without a guide (with minimal mandarin capability- kindergarten level). We totally enjoyed our travel. The only hiccup was that we were denied going to Huang Shan (Yellow Mountain) and JiangJiaJie, because we are over 80years old. Too old. Wonderful transport system throughout, beautiful sights, very friendly people. Even the toilets were decent. Loved it! Going back to visit soon.

Ah yes, there are places where you can't go because mountain trails/ paths built along the side of a steep slope aren't made for unfit people. Sorry to hear your inconvenient experience. But it's a bit strange. I checked on the web there isn't such policy to deny seniors over 80. Quite contrary, the gov has a policy to give Chinese citizens over 80 free admittance to these attractions you mentioned. I believe it's something to do with foreigners. The government don't like any international incidents or it could just be a misunderstanding in translations. However, I would recommend you consult a local travel agency to see if they have ways to get around. Wish you have a wonderful trip next time.❤

@@eugenechin2863 I live in Australia and am an Aussie. In 1980, I traveled to the U.S. for the first time and when I landed in Los Angeles, I received my first shock in LAX at the number of "panhandlers" (we call them beggars) walking around outside the airport asking for "donations" and even more inside the airport itself. Traveling outside the airport, I saw more people out under viaducts, at traffic stops, etc, all begging for money. Some of them were shabbily dressed but there were those who were neatly dressed as well as though they were going for a job interview. I have never come such a sight back home in Melbourne or Sydney and yet, here I was, in the "wealthiest nation on earth" - with beggars roaming the streets. Later on, arriving in other cities like Houston and San Francisco was no better. A few years on, in 1984, I went back to the U.S. and there was little to no change. There were people selling pencils for a donation of a few dollars and it reminded me of the scenes from the 1930s where people were out in streets selling apples for a few bucks. It was totally depressing and I felt sad for the U.S.A. which I have believed from my younger days to that "shining city on the hill" and yet, here we are. I was to revisit the U.S. again several times until 2019 and nothing I saw gave me any hope for the place. Going to a local church one Sunday in Houston, I met a homeless American with PTSD issues. He has been a former LEO and has seen service in the U.S. military in Iraq. All he needed was a place to have a shower and a shave - to feel "human" again. The church allowed him to use their facilities after which we gave him a few bucks to help him and the first thing he did was to pay for a night in a cheap motel sdo that he can have a bed to lie on for the first time in months. This is the United States of America? No wonder there are so many people willing to vote for Donald Trump - almost like they are casting a dangerous but yet, "protest vote" against the established order that has allowed the country to decline in such a horrific manner. Will there be a hope for the U.S. under a Trump Administration? I don't know except that Trump made a lot of promises like replacing Obamacare and yet, not a lot was actually achieved. Kamala Harris? She represents the old ways as Biden did and I don't see any real plans - bold, decisive, inspirational nation-building plans and policies coming out of any of her rally speeches except attacking Trump while Trump has responded likewise. I fear for the future of the U.S. no matter who wins as the damage done to the country has been so deep and for so many decades of inaction that it will take a very, very strong leader to reverse the trend and I simply don't see any such emerging from the U.S. political leader landscape. 50 - 60 years of damage to the U.S. economy and its very infrastructure with so many divisions in its society is not going to be fixed by any administration in 4 years or 8 years. Sorry if I sound pessimistic and depressed for the U.S. - in particular the common American people whom I really feel for with a deep empathy. There is no doubt many great things still existing in the U.S. but I am only seeing more and more of that being whittled away by excessive spending on wasteful ventures so that a USD$35-trillion dollar debt now hangs upon the head of the nation and there is no way to get that paid off as it has reached the point of no easy return. It is little wonder that I am also seeing more and more Americans who are able to afford it, migrate away to other countries with their families. This is not yet a flood but if the conditions conditions to remains as bleak as they are, who knows as "the Lady with the lamp" at New York harbour, light grow dimmer and dimmer?

Americans are like "babes in the woods" when it comes down to knowing about the world outside their own town or city "bubble" let alone foreign countries. Many still believe that Australian school kids ride in kangaroo pouches to get to school, that Australians speak in some non-English foreign language, that Australia is some country located somewhere in Europe, that Australians use the same household power as in the U.S. (240v a.c vs 110v a.c.) and that everything in Australia is out to kill them including the dreaded "drop bears". However, this gives Americans a lot of scope to learn - if they'd only step out of the shadows of their mainstream media, Hollywood propaganda movies and social media circles, get on board a plane and go adventuring for a change.

Our office is in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, close to Macau. RT is an abbreviation for "Recycling Times" because our business used to focus on reporting of reuse of printers and printing supplies.

I was in China last month. But I will never go back to China, because my passport was taken from day 1 up to my last day. My passport was given in the airport when I was departing China. All my apps were turned off by the China government😢 I don't want that a country will take my passport😪
@tmykam

I think it is Not Truth (a lie??): Millions travel to China. They just hold your passport & turn off your apps (but no one)? apps can be easy to re-install/turn on. Holding a guy passport don't mean he will do right thing in China. If you are not welcome, they simple send you back.

In every country, there are bound to have people thinking that the grass is greener overseas. Who knows there are simple and ignorant minded Americans and Europeans who are brainwashed by their local propaganda media to think that the best place to go and have a beautiful tour is Ukraine and the Gaza Strip?

They don't need KZitem. They have everything they can use. They have their own. They don't need to rely on American services. Only countries who can't create their own rely on the other countries' services. That's why China was the only country with little impact (or no impact at all) when Microsoft Windows went blue screen error because of an update and caused a lot of delays around the world. This is something you have to be proud of. Understand?

Yeah but I refuse that a communist country, Could very be great. I rather visit Mongolia again. I've been traveling around the world for a Decade, And as a US Army vet. He's a man that only cares of how much money they he can get out of his own people. And they might be ok for you, To have you being survelvint When you go out. And anyone that goes there are just giving their information out yourself. Na I'm ok there're others countries out there THAT ARE AMAZING. But people in the civilized countries don't take kindly to travel to a Communist state. My opinion not everybody has that option. Best of travelers.
