I remember something about the Oscars not having an Animation category, but Disney's Snow White was so great, that they made an Oscars statue with 7 mini statues apart of it, symbolizing the 7 dwarfs. This movie is endlessly re-watchable. So much detail and funny things to notice each time you watch it. Great script too. The movie was filmed in a few months but took about 18 months to write. The part of Nick Frost was originally supposed to be a love interest of Simon's but they changed it to a man but hilariously left most of the romantic stuff in, making it a bromance.

Why does everyone always mention all the modern Cameos, but never mention that the Hotel owner - "Hag" - is the Actress that played Damien's psycho Nanny in the film Omen, or that the head of the Neighbourhood Watch, Edward Woodward, is a very famous Actor, played Callan in a TV Series, played the original Equaliser, and was also the Police Seargent in a film with Christopher Lee and Brit Ekland, where someone gets burned inside a Wicker Man. The head of the NWA guy was also the Ghost of Christmas Present in the 1984 version of A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott as Scrooge. Also, the doctor was the head bad guy in the Mask of Zorro with Antonio Banderas and Anthony Hopkins. The one that stole Catherine Zeta-Jones’s character as a baby. The problem with being upset people don’t know the actors is that this took place years/decades after roles they’re known for, well after the movies were popular and the actors aged and aren’t as recognizable as they were.

Random bit which might not have been mentioned yet - in the UK, swans are considered property of the crown, thus belonging to the Monarch of the time. Soooo, technically, since the Police also are considered in service to the crown (Hence the ER(Now CR due to Charles taking over, and VR on Frank's uniform for Victoria) on the uniforms), the Swan was at least somewhat a relevant choice :P And ofc, it assisted with the arrest!

@@VerowakReacts Dalton's Bond was a return to a more serious Bond after Moore's long running campier version. Dalton ended up only getting two films before getting replaced by Brosnan. While I adore Brosnan, I wish Dalton had gotten a few more outings! 007 can range from emotional investment to silly to everything in between. It's kind of glorious. In fact I got bored with the Craig movies in recent years because they were too serious. The funny (and also realistic) thing is - when you take away the most productive member of your office and either fire or relocate them somewhere else on a permanent basis......you shouldn't be surprised that your office's overall performance would also plummet. @@VerowakReacts Other iconic Patrick Swayze movies: "Red Dawn" (1984 original) Music by Basil Poledouris. There was also a so-so remake in 2012 "Road House" (1989) w/ Sam Elliott "Ghost"(1990) with a very well known/iconic scene "Dirty Dancing" (1987) not my cup of tea, but popular with many women

There are so many call backs in these movies, either the same actors or certain scenes such as when Danny gets shot diving in front of Nicholas which is a call back to the paint ball episode of Spaced. So many actors from Spaced show up in the Cornetto Trilogy it really is great.

You three ladies absolutely made my day! I loved your reactions to one of my favorite comedies/action films. The random cameos are really hilarious too. The Santa Claus who stabbed Angel’s hand the beginning is actually Peter Jackson, the director of the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit trilogies. Angel’s ex-girlfriend Janine happens to be Cate Blanchett. If you haven’t seen them you all should all watch The Naked Gun, Airplane, Blazing Saddles, and Clue.

I'm sure you're all lovely ladies but I have to say the cat finding it's comfy spot at 26:24 was the highlight of the video for me, the woman knew not to stroke him as he would demand attention required for the film but still allowed him to use her as a comfy spot 😅

11:21 fun fact about this scene, they wanted Nick frost to really run into the fence, and watch him backwards with a genuine face to see what damage he has done
@RedemptiveChief

fun fact i believe Nick frost character was supposed to be 2 seperate characters. the friend and son of the villain and also a love interest. However they give him all her lines in amalagamating the characters without changing any of it.

There are many places that have Neighbourhood Watch areas that locals are supposed to patrol and protect (mostly seems ineffectual especially compared to this) Point Break (Keanu Reeves version not new remake) Paul is fun if you haven't already seen it (stars Pegg and Frost) and Absolutely Everything (is a sort of Pegg/Frost and Monty Python mash up with various familiar faces) fun but possibly not good

One of the things I love about this movie is that they originally gave Angel a girlfriend. When they decided the character wasn’t necessary and cut her out they just transferred her lines wholesale to the buddy bonding scenes. 😂😂
