Hey guys thanks for watching my video! I was trying to get ahead of my weekend baking prep and thought I would tape this and share for you. I am sorry I lost the footage of me piping out the bagels buns and hot dog buns through a large Ziploc bag. I pretty much added the mixture to a large Ziploc bag, cut the corner off and piped out perfect hot dog buns, buns and donuts. Again I know the counter that I mix the bread on is quite narrow and small I’m not able to get the best angles and footage I am sorry about that. Thought I would share anyways. Ingredients
2 eggs separated
1 cup egg whites
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
3 hefty tablespoons egg white protein powder
1 teaspoon nutritional yeast
1 teaspoon of xanthan gum
2 hefty teaspoons confectioners Swerve
Dash of salt
1 tablespoon melted butter
*For the cake I did add 1 extra teaspoon of sweetener and 1 extra tablespoon of protein powder.
For the Danishes filling I heated 1 heaping tablespoon cream cheese in the microwave for 30 seconds I added 2 teaspoons of powdered Swerve. I used a dollop of keto raspberry jam too.
Preheat oven to 325°F or you can use your air fryer which you will not need to preheat
Separate two eggs from their yolks and whites.
Add egg whites to your mixing bowl and one cup of liquid egg whites.
Start your mixer and add one teaspoon of cream of tartar.
Once mixture has started to whiten add your egg white protein powder 1 tablespoon at a time.
Next add your nutritional yeast while it’s still mixing.
Then your xanthan gum, swerve and salt.
Continue mixing until stiff peaks are formed. (about 4 minutes total)
At the end had one yolk at a time until mixed in.
Then your bread mixture is ready to be put in a baking pan or mold, or piped out on a baking tray in the shape of hotdog buns, buns, bagels, danishes, or you could spread it flat to make a garlic bread, you can cover hotdogs or even do a pizza. The possibilities are endless!
Bake at 325°F for 35 minutes
Halfway through add melted butter to tops of bread or buns.
When making bread or buns you can leave in oven for 20 to 30 minutes with the oven shut off. I would not suggest doing this with donuts or danishes.
