Nah good brother, you right. Don’t let a loser trick you out your money and your VA disability by causing you to get a bad discharge. It ain’t a weak move, it’s strategic, once you’ve seperated and are ballin, you’ll appreciate that small sacrifice. Good info for the Soldiers bro 🫡

This applies in a lot of jobs. Sometimes it's easier just to say ok or sure thing and keep a low profile. Sometimes people are too dumb to be corrected.

all the folks in the comments being critical of leadership are clowns. everyone learned the standard on how to talk to superiors in basic training. i've often told young soldiers that if you feel the need to say something questionable, ask yourself "would i say that to my drill sergeant?" if the answer is no, then you probably shouldn't say it to that nco/officer neither. there have been a couple of dudes who outranked me that i just didn't like so whenever i had to address them, i locked it up, basic training-style. if they're the only one you do that to, it embarrasses them without you being disrespectful. stay out of trouble, kids.

Unfortunately we have a lots of lazy and disrespectful leaders in the big Army specially. Good video tho. It is not worth risking your reputation over someone that even cares how to conduct themselves. Yes this is the type of 90% of our military, they are selfish and love bossy people around.

As a NCO, working in the motor pool and an Officer stopped me for some unless advice or whatever he wanted, I'd stand at attention and scream "Thank you for conditioning my mind and body, Sir! Feel free to do so at any time, Sir!" That keeps them at bay. Either that or hand them a $20 and tell them to go get some doughnuts while the men work. and make shooing motions with your hands.

Don’t develop your leaders, great advice. Don’t know your leadership, but him coming down to the motor pool to help out or ask for advice isn’t a bad thing. Keep making the military a better place! 🫡

the example given is indicative of why the military currently has very high attrition and very low recruitment… yeah maybe “roger” or “i sir” will appease the toxic person with “rank” occasionally… but those who know, know… its those people that have put America’s military in the dangerous rut its in; but rather than fixing toxic leadership and teaching effective communication on all levels, the culture is to pacify or avoid to “save your career”. i guarantee if those with actual authority figured out how to wisely spend tax dollars in bootcamp, MOS schools and leadership training on the front end, much less would go out thru the VA on the back end… sad to see 20 plus years later military culture hasn’t changed…

You’re right but when you really care, sometimes you have to endure the toxic leadership by saying “Roger” in order to get in position to fight for change.

Good advice ssg that advice applies to all ranks when dealing with the MP’s. I’ve personally gave a ride to a soldier that just failed the sobriety test coming through the gate, back to his barracks, told him he could pick up his keys from the MP Desk Ssg in no less than 8 hours and saved that young soldiers career. I also pulled over our commanding general on purpose for speeding in the school zone and told him I realize he has the authority to make the speed limit what ever he wanted but until he changes it and posts the new signs he will do the same limit as everyone else I won’t have you endangering other peoples children …sir!
