Excellent discussion. Wanted to know why Marshall is not calling the game on Thursday. He is brilliant and makes the game more interesting for people like us. Go the All Blacks

Justin Marshal was a great scrum half and has a great rugby mind but......I can't stand the guy as a commentator with his ....."yes boy"s and "go Beaudan"s

Have to agree, with Henry Jackson; I am a Bok supporter and never find any bias on his commentating. Calls it like it is.

I tell you what, Rennie has made 8 changes to the team that got run over by the Boks...AND...brought in Bernard Foley who hasn't played since May and that was in the Japanese comp... Yes, some of those changes have been forced upon him but struth... Now then, that's enough of the mere mortals for it's time to speak of the immortal one... Savea. Bugger, because he has been a colossus this season and bloody entertaining to watch and a testament to how you wear The Jersey. The evolution of this All Black team has brought much pain, however, I foresee good things from here on in. I believe the Ellis Park beauty and the Hamilton mugging will be seen as pivotal moments in how the All Blacks began to decipher the code to steal the jewels. Not only that folks but it's my belief that the All Blacks are going to be an extremely difficult team to defeat at next year's World Cup. Most of them have tasted the bitterness of wearing that beautiful black jersey in some historical defeats and those are brutal lessons. They would have studied those losses to the nth degree but I think, more importantly, it's the emerging mindset that just might grow to be confident and commanding. I'm guessing that both sides will be willing tonight and that should make for a cracker. Although Rennie et al would have studied how the Irish got up over the All Blacks, I just can't see the Wallabies taking that approach. Regardless of that style being incredibly effective. It's just not their way but I could be wrong about that and the Wallabies may look to suffocate the darkness. For 80 minutes? I can't see it. The Wallabies are capable but combinations are crucial and that should be a telling feature in tonight's Test. The All Blacks are showing some fluency in their combinations and their work in set pieces and the breakdown is beginning to hum. I feel the Wallabies just might be taught a lesson. Unfortunately, we have to factor in the Ref and his cohorts...The Georgian Ref on analysis was shown to be out of his depth and there was a stark contrast in how the following Test was officiated. It's such a bugger that it is a consideration...but it is and with the number of contenders for the next World Cup and no doubt some fierce contests...the potential for horror is real. Right then. Batten down your hatches and brace yourselves for I have had a premonition of a furious onslaught of the likes that would shock, shiver and shake, any man. I saw a dark mist approaching, that eerily surrounded then settled over a battlefield in Melbourne, Australia. A whistle pierced out, like the howl of a rabid wolf. A man dressed in black stepped forward and every mortal's eyes were immediately drawn to him. His command cut through the air like a battle-hardened blade, forged in blood, sweat, tears and victory, which has seen the Men in Black leave vanquished opponents shattered and strewn over fields of green for over a hundred years. The command? MEN!!! UNLEASH THE DOGS OF WAR! (hahaha, too much?)

that physicality point, Aussies have brought a super physical team. are they reacting to being beaten up? or are they both reacting to each other's choices? I'm interested

AB’s to win in Melbourne and near certain in Eden Park. Aussies have 7 or 8 front line selections out due to injury or club obligations (a ridiculous truth), no. 10 has not played since May and is ranked 4 in line. AB’s settled now. Forgoing is conventional wisdom … but in this completion does that apply?

on the last point, there is going to be 15 other blokes wanting to improve and trying to stop everything we are doing too, so as much as it's in our own hands it's more about how well you stop the people trying to stop you doing what you want from stopping you doing what you want, while stopping them from doing what they want better than they are stopping you. I think I just described Rugby in the most simple, complicated way possible 😄 point is it's simply not as simple as we think. I should be on a talkshow because I'm making a lot of sense right now 😂

I will be at the game tomorrow night. The last all black game i went to was in 2007 at the MCG and we lost, the theme this year for all teams has been win and then lose. We won last week so i am expecting a loss tomorrow night haha... maybe i am the bad omen for this team

Scott Barrett is along with Tupou Vaa'i has the athleticism and size to be a international quality 6. They really are a little undersized for top level locks in this era. Frizzel is ok but below him not a lot of 6's play that physical game because they are playing a version of fast and loose rugby that super rugby dictates . There are a number of hybrids around eg Jacobson ,Papalii and to some degree Ioane but they are not the long term solutions for 6. Cullen Grace at 8 would be the missing cog for our dodgy back of the lineout consistency..
