"Aji tefhem" Morocco's proposed transition to a flexible exchange rate system - floating the dirham.
To make this episode, we had to take a few lessons in economics in order to fully grasp the subject we will be talking about. There are numerous angles under which the topic can be tackled and we evidently couldn't cover each and every one of them in a short-format video. Still, the episode required a lot of prep work from us, and that is mainly the reason why it took this long to release.
The biggest hurdle we had to deal with during the making of this video was choosing the right graphic models to illustrate these often daunting concepts. The "values thermometer" as well as the "balance of trade" animations you will encounter in the video required a lot of mental effort, and the process of designing them slowed us down quite a bit.
The information presented here is the result of the field research we have undertook with experts in the domain. This means that we didn't base our research on links found on the internet or articles in newspapers but rather on meetings we have had with qualified economists often holding different views which we have tried to synthesize here.
For anyone wanting to learn more about the topic, we will be posting any interesting links we come across right here. I hope you will find them useful.
Make sure to leave us your suggestions and criticisms, these are always welcome.
