清水シェフが、夢ケーキの紹介をします。
The Kushimoto shop has entered its 7th year since opening.
I visit here as often as possible.
I live in Kanagawa,
but I get back home
several times a year.
I’m the manager of C’est la Saison!, Sagamihara shop
in Sagamihara-shi, Kanagawa-ken.
My name is Hiroki Shimizu.
He is my son.
I’m the manager and Chef of Kushimoto Yoshun shop.
I’m Nakano. Nice to meet you.
We have been working together since
we were 22 or 23 years old.
But we worked separately for a while.
Then we worked together again.
Finally, we are here working together at C’est la Saison.
We have known each other for 40 years.
I’m Egawa, a pastry chef at Kushimoto shop.
He is the son of Mr. Egawa, who was my classmate.
He’s from Nishimukai.
Let’s talk for a little while
since we are here and
it’s good opportunity
to get to know each other.
I would like you to introduce yourself,
such as your name,
what kind of cake you will make
and what is your dream.
we started the dream cake project
10 years ago, at our shop.
But a cake shop in Nagano originally started
the project 20 years ago.
The purpose of the project is family gatherings.
I would like to make you an opportunity
to have conversations among the family
by making a cake together.
I’m one of you,
and you, children, mothers and fathers
don’t talk about your dream
among the family, do you?
I haven’t talked about it to you, have I?
Since I have a chance to hold the project,
I would like you to have an opportunity to talk about your dream.
It is the main purpose of this project.
You will talk about your dream
and you may change your drawings.
Then you make your cake together here.
After making the cake, you eat your cake
with mum, dad, grandma and grandad.
So, you enjoy your cake three times.
Let’s start off with this table.
You can talk about what kind of cake you will make.
Lots of fruits with fresh cream.
What is your dream?
A professional football player.
Do you have a dream?
The two sisters have the same dream.
They would like to be a pastry chef.
It’s a big responsibility.
I’ll leave it to you, Chef Nakano.
Thank you.
She wants to make a rainbow cake.
Her future dream is to be a pharmacist.
Medical care will be more important in future.
Such as COVID-19,
I hope she will develop medicines to cure illness.
Thank you.
From now on,
I will give you an instruction how to make the cake.
Please come around here.
I will make one for you.
I will show you from the beginning.
Please come here.
Children, will you come forward?
Today,
the cakes are half done.
You see the plastic round mould.
With this,
you don’t have to spread cream later on.
You can decorate the cake easily.
Whip cream until stiff enough to hold like this.
Mums, please help children with this.
Good response.
We have fruits.
Looks delicious, isn’t it?
Put fruits in the mould.
This is modelling chocolate,
called ‘Pra-choco’,
and is like Play-Doh.
Chocolate Pen
You can write words like ‘Happy Birthday’
on the cake.
A panda
Thank you.
You give me a round of applause. Thank you.
Something like this.
You can decorate your cake as you like.
Please be careful with cutting fruits
but don’t hesitate.
First of all,
you’d better cut fruits.
You cut fruits first.
Then put cream between sponge cakes.
Very good. Very good.
She seems used to use the knife, doesn’t she?
She seems to cook regularly.
Is it first time for you to use the knife?
Don’t cut your finger.
Whip cream little bit more.
It will be fine if becoming solid.
You draw a lot.
Thank you, today.
Thank you.
Did you enjoy it?
Yes, I did.
How old are you?
Five years old.
The second year of kindergarten?
The third year.
What kind of cake did you make?
Flower cake.
What do you want to be in the future?
I want to be a volleyball player.
Do you play it?
You practice a bit.
Were you a volleyball player?

give us your autograph.

You look forward to eating the cake with your family.
