Good Lord Almighty! It wasn't just the powerhouse talent, it was the swagger, her absolute self-assuredness! Of course, the world wasn't ready for this woman. You could tell she loves music and the craft, the artistry and the chemistry between her and her band is beautiful. She must've had so much fun, regardless of what the world thought of her. God bless her! P.S as if I need to spell it out but man, she's attractive! She's very articulate and smart, too. And Arsenio was cute, he seemed to really genuinely like her.

the reason was that nashville totally ignored her, as far as air play, was because of the fact that she is gay and did not fit the typical cutesy country singer stereotype...same reason that patsy cline toned herself down a lot when on her on stage persona

Tracy LF how do you know that was the reason that she did not get her due?
@winendesertrose
5 жыл бұрын
she said it herself she didn't get much Air Play hardly any on the radio and she's right I've only heard her songs maybe three times on cm radio if that and mostly on some on independent radio stations. They didn't like her looks they didn't like the way she dressed the fact that she was a lesbian- oh yeah and she was a vegetarian and I think did an ad for Peta (?) things that didn't endeared her to country music.
@christmasmonster723
5 жыл бұрын
I think she did get her due in time. Maybe I'm older than a lot of you, but I remember Ms. Lang on TV and radio in the early 90s. Her 1992 album was very popular. She was on the CMAs, etc.
@NatureGirl62
3 жыл бұрын
She herself would not say that - she is above that kind of thinking. When radio can’t put an artist in a box, it doesn’t know what to do with that artist. She wasn’t 100% torch OR twang, and the industry was too challenged to know what to do. However, she managed to squeeze in some Grammys - I’d say she got her due! And I said to my husband recently, as I was playing some of her videos: She is the best singer of our time, hands down.
