That was a great explanation followed up by an even better demonstration. Great work, Casmo & team. Also, I found an unhealthy amount of amusement from watching you try to delete all those lines with that tiny eraser. Mission accomplished, you got them all.

Very interesting video. It would be cool if in single player you could designate specific targets to your AI flight first, then opening fire all together. In DCS, basically if you tell your AI flight to attack, you have no idea what they gonna do next (the AI may not start shooting at all).

Hey Casmo, so after the targets were destroyed, what was the plan for exfiltration? You had hostile forces to your north, and in previous videos you state that you should egress from a different ingress path. Was that negated due to the destruction of the air observer?

Great vid. The planning and strategy is always incredibly enlightening. So, a question (from a newish pilot), if you have a group of four ka's, why would you all approach and sit in front of the enemy in a group like this, as opposed to, say, splitting in pairs, with 2 staying in front, and 2 hitting one of the sides? Or even both hitting opposite sides? Thank you again for the content. Always left wanting more.
@CasmoTV

Well the plan as it stood kept us out of range for the SA-9 (those were live, not static items). If you can stay in the same area it’s easier for control. You certainly COULD split up like you mention but really no reason to in this situation.

Again great content. Love this series. Watching those with pen and paper. That skins looking good ;) Question. At that distance, of about 6km, is secure to recon? I mean, can they hear you? And if you find tgts that arent supposed to be there, do you move closer to hit them? If they are tgts of importance
@CasmoTV
4 жыл бұрын
6km is pretty far to be heard. Especially if you use the terrain to your advantage. We had hills behind us to break up our outline against the sky. The other side of that coin... ok, they see me... they can’t do anything about it. It’s not like the movies; no one is running to the vehicles to just drive away. At that point it’s get away from the vics and hope they don’t come after you.
@Renkovic_

@@CasmoTV Thx. I see, makes sense. I though that about the vics, that you dont want to be inside when the missiles hit. And about the second question, what do you do in that case? Tgts you find after kill the ones of your mission

I wonder why can you lunch your missiles if your circle is on hud is not matched with the target position. My KA-50 refuses to lunch it until i move it over the target i a maiming for. For example if i shoot 1 missile from left then next from right i have to keep turning my KA-50 slightly to the left or right even with autoturn on.

Like what specifically about it? It’s just a matter of your fuel state (in time). So if you have 20 mins before you need to leave, you have 20 mins of play time or station time... or as one guy I know accidentally said once “play station time”.
