Pathrado Recipe
Patrode (or pathrodo, pathrode, pathrado) is a Konkani dish . It is made from colocasia leaves (taro, kesuve or arbi) stuffed with rice flour and flavourings such as spices, tamarind etc.
Patrode is derived from two words “Patra” and “Vade”. Patra in Sanskrit & several of its derivative languages means leaf and “Vade/Vada” means a dumpling.
