Thought about it and as much as I like Jingliu her theme didn't really stick out to me and I couldn't really manage to push myself to put one out, sorry to say (it's to a point where I made a guide for her on a piano channel but not a piano cover lmao)
@goldenoodles6281

Dang it sounds pretty good. However in my non-professional opinion. I think I would have liked it better if it instead took an approach of making it a more of a piano arrangement compared to trying to fit the score/sheet into the cover. I believe that if we're taking a score and compressing it down into a single instrument, it should convey the feelings and the characteristics of the piece rather than cramming the original score into a playable piano sheet. At around 0:25, the repeated chords could have been a chord + single repeated note as it kind of becomes a small wall of sound as compared to the original where it was building up more tension with a single high note. It also adds a bit more contrast compared to what's after those. I feel like at around 0:40 the part gets a bit muddy from the chords (in my opinion). Another thing is you could add some flares to it that is practical on the piano, may not be in the actual piece as different instruments have their strengths and weaknesses. Of course, these little nitpicks are just what I feel like should be adressed, but your pieces is still very good. Keep it up!

Waw this is amazing and in my opinion the best piano cover of this OST. I will see if I have time to learn this song lmao (unfortunately my to-do list has been stacking lately) Although there seems to be a bit of an inaccuracy around bars 33-35 ( 0:49 - 0:53 ). May I ask which software do you use to create the piano scores?
@ccmusicc
Жыл бұрын
Can you detail what seems to be inaccurate? Inaccurate in the sense that the sheets/visuals don't match the sound or the arrangement don't match the original track? And I used to use Sibelius, right now and for a long while I'm using Dorico
@aurylea-re

@@ccmusicc I'm not original commenter and also not pro but it sounds a bit off ;-;
@ChocolateDango1

@@ccmusicc hi thanks for your reply. I was referring to the arrangement not quite matching the original track. There are a few dissonance chords in the listed bars that are not present in the original track, and they make the arrangement sound a bit off (which might be less of an issue when played on a piano with better control on volume). For the rest of the arrangements, the added components sound on-point and complements well, its mostly just those listed bars. I think a quick fix might be to slightly thin out some of the chords in those bars, for example giving bars 33-35 a similar treatment as bars 43. For a more accurate answer on where it went wrong, I may need to test it out via a music software / piano when I have more time at hand (which at this point might be way past november) Also its been too long since I used music composters that I didnt even know about Dorico, maybe when I have time I will check it out. (I did use finale / sibelius many years ago) Either way, thank you again for your reply.
@ccmusicc

Right, I get what you mean - I think you're mostly referring to the right hand with the power chord and the 16th note fills in between. They defo weren't in the real track, and it's something I've taken the liberty to add on my own as I thought being faithful to the reference for that part won't make it sound as high-intensity and "electric" as I want it to be. The dissonance there was used as a tool to evoke that feeling, though I understand as well if it didn't work for some.
