😂 Spoiled rotten puppy! That little head tilt he did was so cute, he's adorable. My mini dachsund Suzie Q pretends to not look when I'm eating too, but she's a little ninja. She'll go after ANYTHING unattended if you walk away...even my coffee! My blue heeler Launcelot and pibble Amber would bite the fork with ferocious desire! lmao

@@BlazeLeeDragon Yes, I have a 15 year old male blue heeler. If I don't already have a video posted of him I'll make sure I publish one. I believe I have some footage of him from a hike we did together at Enchanted Rock years ago. He's a handsome, loving dude. :)

kzitem.info/news/bejne/2aCt2oSwbZReeno Our blue heeler Launcelot is in this video, and he was 11 at the time. The park no longer allows dogs on the summit due to irresponsible owners not leashing their animal companions...which lead to multiple injuries and fatalities. We used to take him hiking and camping regularly. Most of the video contains low res shots of the landscape.

Thank you, yes I love him so so much :) I got him from Indiana from a Kai breeder who no longer Breeds Kai :( most kai will run you about $1500 roughly. price can vary from as low as $1000, basically like buying an Alaskan Malamute, they also run about $1500 for a puppy.

How would you describe the temperament of a Kai Ken? Looking into the breed right now before looking to buy one

Kage was very interesting. He loved to sit up high to survey what was going on. Top of couch, top of stairs you name it. He loved to be around us and enjoyed convincing me to give him my food. He was very leery of strangers and was on high alert. Needed alot of exercise and would run himself in the backyard doing laps. Very calm most of the time but has alot of spunk and needed to burn off steam. He would sneak around when board and get into stuff. He would get on the hunt and ignore me completely when he was focused. I always had him on leash or in a fenced in yard. He would consider if he wanted to listen. He was very smart and easy to train but you could see him processing if he wanted to listen. They need a firm but gentle hand. As I understand it most Kai share many of these traits. protector/watchdog, leery of strangers, hunter mentality and when on the hunt hard to recall, needing alot of exercise and running themselves (fenced in yard only), perching, very smart and thinking if they want to listen.

Hey I noticed you have a cat also, did you get them at the same time? I'm going to get a kai but I'm really concerned about owning other pets. For instance a rabbit and a cat. Ik that Kai's are hunters and I'm just thinking the worst yah know

No not at the same time I got the cat after. It is risky owning multiple types of pets but as you can see they can learn to live together. Fang is a special cat, he doesn't run when the dogs run towards him he pushes against them and purrs. He goes outside with them and comes in with them and he comes when I call him. My wife jokes and calls him one of our dogs. We had other cats as well at this time and they go along great. He would also go after ground hogs and stray cats that came into the yard. Any dog can be risky but hunting dogs are even more risky, they have instincts and knowing those instincts and working with them can be a real challenge. Always supervise your pets together and give them some time to get to know each other. They can learn in time they are family, I still would not leave your Kai alone with your rabbit running free though. If your rabbit runs it could kick off his instinct and it only takes a second to lose them.

From a breeder in Indiana. Sadly she no longer breeds Kai Kens. There are a few breeders online still though that breed Kai Kens. They are a rare breed in Japan even and hard to find.

Not to bad. Since he was 4 months old when we got him, he got to grow up with them. I have a video up of him being scared of one our cats. He adjusted well with our cats but went after strays.
