Kaitlyn shouldn't be advocating for women to have guns if she thinks women shouldn't be able to vote bc of "EmOtIoNs". If that were true, women everywhere would be pulling a Chicago daily.
@sparrowtail21
4 жыл бұрын
Not so Amayzing the reason she believed women shouldn’t be allowed to vote is because lees women agree with access to guns in America. The overall ratio of men to women shows that more men want access to guns than women wanting access to guns. Obviously this does not mean all men like guns at all that’s not the point I’m getting at. The point is Kaitlin literally thinks people should have their rights taken away because they have different opinions.

I also find it funny because they have determined that one of the reasons why we have mood swings during periods is because of an increase in Testosterone. So basically, we get more emotional because we are more like men during that time (lower estrogen in comparison to the testosterone.) Now I don't really think that is the reason why women are 'more emotional'. I think that women are allowed to be more emotional and when men are they are (unfortunately) looked down upon because of that.

Even for those that are transphobic, saying “only women have periods” is still wrong. Because young girls are not women. A 9 year old is not a woman! And yet, many people do get their periods at 9,10,11. I wouldn’t even necessarily call a 16 year old girl a woman, because to me, woman implies adult. And teenagers under 18 aren’t adults. And yet, many children and teens do indeed get periods. So even if you are a transphobic ninny, it’s still not correct! But of course, it is a fact that some men and boys do get periods, some non binary children and adults get periods, and there are plenty of adult cis women who don’t get periods (like myself) for many different reasons like birth control (me), menopause, amenorrhea for whatever reason, they might be pregnant and not having periods right now. Which is why I think the “we much refer to women when talking periods!” is just so incorrect. More than just women have periods (whether that’s because they’re trans, or because they’re children), and many cis women don’t have periods. So damn right “people who menstruate” is the accurate term!
@katherinemorelle7115
4 жыл бұрын
Also, why do people who obviously hate science always try to bring up “it’s a scientific fact!” in this one particular area? They don’t listen to science for begin with! They’re usually climate change deniers, or anti vaxxers, and also scientific fact is that trans people exist, so they’re definitely not listening to the science in this area either. They just like to use it, without ever paying any attention to what it actually says. I just find it funny that the people who think that scientists are lying for money (what money?), will also try to use “but muh science!” as some sort of gotcha. It makes no sense.

My mom is one of those people who scream "All lives matter" and "White privilege isn't real." Upon attempting to reason with her on these issues, I have found that she looks at privilege purely from an economic standpoint. In her mind, having privilege just means that you're rich. She refuses to acknowledge the existence of systemic racism, and doesn't fully understand what racism is. She once said, "I'm not racist. I've never liked the KKK." I literally had to explain to her why blackface is racist once, why confederate statues offend people, and that not supporting the KKK doesn't mean you aren't racist. She also seems to believe that recognizing racism MAKES you racist, since that means that you see color. Unfortunately, she's a very difficult person to debate with, since she also doesn't always believe in facts.

There are a lot of ways to know! One of the main is obviously to ask yourself if you feel like a girl or not! Then ask if you feel like a boy. If you don't feel like either, you could be Non-binary! I'd suggest doing more research to 1. See if it clicks for you and 2. If you are, find a specific identity that describes how you personally experience gender! There are a lot of good resources but transgenderteensurvivalguide on Tumblr has a lot of info in their FAQ. Good luck!

@kurokasteele4830

Personally, I agree, but at the point we're at I don't think banning will really help. More control _absolutely_ is good, but I don't think banning will really work, with how many are already around and all.... and that's before all the "Come and take it" folks. I fired a hand gun a few times at a range and I kind of enjoyed the feeling of it, but I could very much do without them. But it's just kind of a volatile situation, and that final step of banning is a loooong way off if ever. I think control could definitely be a lot better with being more strict, but at this point banning (even if logistically possible without a revolt by the aforementioned groups) wouldn't help much at all, I think.

2:26 I want to add some more context for my non-American friends or Americans who are too young to know or just didn’t know. She was carrying this assault rifle on Kent State University, which is where one of the most famous school shootings took place, The Kent State Massacre. On May 4th, 1970, a group of Kent State students were holding a peace rally, protesting the Vietnam Draft. The National Guard was called in and opened fire on the unarmed students. Four students were killed and nine were seriously injured, one being paralyzed for life. That’s why this was such a big deal. Not only was it obnoxious and stupid, it was downright disgusting. It felt like she was mocking the victims and the tragedy. I am amazed Kent State let her back onto campus to do her stupid, little interviews. Not only was that a dangerous assault rifle she brought onto and carried openly on campus but she was insulting the university’s history.
