Hari Om!
Verse 1 (contd.)
GLORIFYING (ADJECTIVES OF) BRAHMAVIDYĀ
2. Swami Aparajitananda discusses the sequence - "Value, Time and Get" - with respect to pure minded, evolved, rare noble ones for whom Shruti keeps doors open.
3. Nigūdhā is explained as hidden secret because "Me", the Subjet of Scriptures remains unknown.
4. Destroyer of sinner (ego). Sin is defined in Vedāntic parlance.
5. Knower of Truth attains PURUSHA beyond Māyā.
Verse 2: Why Brahmājī is called PITĀMAHA is discussed creation-wise and with respect to compassion, eagerness and love for shishya.
The mantra-like discourse given to Rishi is elaborated factor-wise:
1. SHRADDHĀ is defined. Its importance as FIRST STEP in the absence of proof, experience, conviction and logic is emphasized in the statement: Guru is "live Scripture".
2. BHAKTI and Āsakti are differentiated. Strength, necessity and inspiring force of Bhakti is explained by examples.
3. How Shraddha and Bhakti PREPARE MIND and in DHYĀNA YOGA (meditation practice) MIND IS APPLIED; when does knowledge become own, is discussed.
Verse 3: Brahmājī tells what this Knowledge of immortality is; how to attain It; and which ways it cannot be attained.
It is discussed at length why actions, progeny and wealth cannot help. To understand what is TYĀGA and why and how Knowledge can be gained only by TYĀGA, Swamijī first discusses BASICS OF VEDĀNTA.
