The off button is there because your meant to turn the airbags self leveling before jacking the car or putting on a hoist etc

Oh alright. What generally happens to them? If your shocks are the right length for the setup. Is it still an issue?

On my 120 Grande, I replaced the OEM pneumatic suspension with the Airbag Man 2" kit until the fittings at the top started leaking. After many repairs and frustration, I eventually went to a coil conversion. What I lost in adjustability was gained 10 fold in reliability.

Nice, You didn’t have any KDSS lean issues ? Had the same setup up but different front struts ( BP51s ) the bags do work well off-road on the Kakadu plenty of rear travel good 4wd system in the Kakadu too.

Tim Mascorella yeah man! I was going to convert my VX to the Full Air with Airbag Mans Intelli Ride system. But my shocks used to be longer than 620mm that they allow. So was waiting to sort something out.

Nice Aaron. I wouldn’t go that far with mine, probably just on board air controls. Would either do TJM or OA shocks as they are both less than 620mm

Yeah alright! Youd definitely want the compressor in the system i recon. Not just the inflation valves in the bumper! Then you do have the adjustability :) Ild love to fit some gauges to mine so i could monitor what the toyota system is doing for peace of mind 😁

Hi. Thinking of upgrading my GVM in other to tow extra weight. I’ve been told to do the same and will get it from 3T to 3.3T. How did the different driving mode affected? Did you disconnect the front sensor after upgrading the front shocks? Did that affect the throttle response when you select for example the sport mode? Do you still have the required power response in the different mode setting even if you loose the suspension flexibility?

Hey@@AaronOffroader, I found the bags to be very firm over bumps and corrigations and because I was setting off to do the Gibb River Road and Kalumbaru I wasn't happy having only bags holding the back up. Don't get me wrong they work amazing but if one was to get a puncture I know the computer would freak out and bring my trip to an end. Have you had any issues with your KDSS lean? Cheers

Air suspension off is to stop the air pump keep pumping up the air bag up when you lift the car on the hoist which could result in busted air bag.
@AaronOffroader
4 жыл бұрын
Yeah alrighty. I get that part. But. It shouldnt add in anymore air once its reached past its set height. 1, 2 or 3. So aslong as your shocks arent too long it should never be an issue anyway?

This is a very difficult diy, this video doesn't show you the difficult parts..One of the hose joiners also developed a leak & airbag man support was non existent , wouldn't even get back to me. I also changed the struts & shocks all around & installed new injectors which were much easier than this.

@@AaronOffroader I want to install a bull bar with a winch but ARB say they don't do Kakadu because a bull bar with winch is to heavy for a Kakadu suspension. also is it ok to add a set of drawers on the back? can it take the weight? who do you recommend and what is the best way. I heard that you I modify the Kakadu it will have lights flashing on the dash and it may no run. your help would be much appreciated. thank you I really like the way you talk about things and how to do it on all your clips.

Yeah ok. Have you thought about upgading the front suspension? And rear shocks? Weight would be fine on the rear airbags. But having heavy duty shocks is worth it. You dont have to worry about any lights on the Dash.

@@AaronOffroader Didnt you destroy a car with modifications in your previous videos and dont you have a 2nd prado that you are destroying.Just evidence that even with all the mods-a car can get destroyed pretty quickly.it depends on the driver and how careful you drive-not just drive into a deep gulley and expect the car to move.The prado is not a lorry or a heavy duty vehicle-for that you need a vehicle with leaf springs or 4 rear tires
