Terimakasi Ganief. We were truly blessed, and truly grateful for grandfather's legacy. It's because of him that we were not uprooted during apartheid. I'm passionate about Kalk Bay because of the people, the infinite sea and Majectic Mountains but mostly it was the love and respect we had for each other. We were free spirit's, living in one with nature. Running down to the beach, playing with the tadpoles, hiking up the Mountain was a child's dream come true. You may join me on a walking tour. Contact me on 0824664319.

Congratulations - great video Latifa Cozyn. Your families and many others left their foot prints in Kalk Bay for the world to know and appreciate. Where you lived in harmony with everyone around you although apartheid tried to uproot you but they couldn't. We salute all the families that's still staying in Kalk Bay although some were uprooted but they kept there Kalk Bay heritage and identity. I've been running for 25 years and my route always includes Kalk Bay coastline to smell the freshness of the sea. A place that sustained many families of the area through their fishing activities and providing the best catches of various fish to the communities of the Western Cape. Kalkbaai the known fishing village on the coast of False Bay known to many Capetonians as the place where you can get your fish at the harbour and feed a family. .

Kalk Bay is mixed with FILIPINO SPANISH descedants from the Philippines. They were transported by CSS ALABAMA in 1860's from the Philippines to escape the Revolution against Spanish Government at that time.
