Why ask a question with an obvious answer? She has a Jamaican father and Jamaican grandparents so, legally, by descent she is Jamaican. By the same calculation, on her mother’s side, she’s Indian. By birth she is American. People can have more than one nationality and have, if they choose, multiple citizenships. As for how she aligns with Jamaica, her father made sure she spent time on the island with his family. Many Jamaicans with foreign born children don’t do that.

Heck people who born in Jamaica of Jamaican parentage, grew up in Jamaica, leave Jamaica settled in a foreign country and have children, those children have squat to do with Jamaica never mind someone that has another parent that is not from Jamaica and a parent from the island. If only the Jamaican people know who they really are. The slaves that survived and nade it to the Caribbean were not ment to survived, but if they did they were going to be enslaved. @charlenestewartson5940 why do you make such preposterous statement that the Jamaica people don't know there worth. It is a cheap shot that you make as all evidence shows that we Jamaican shoot above the hip(figuratively speaking). The most seminal person in modern black history whose narrative shape and influence the black narrative was Maecus Garvey who preached and practiced black pride, self empowerment and entrepreneurship. The plethora of other Jamaicans in music, art, politics and business is renowned and we know these thing. It was the late Guyanese Walter Rodney who said if it was not for the Jamaicans there would not be any changes in England for black people as the other island people were afraid to rattle the boat Our little island nation is a force around the world that influence others to follow us and not the other way around. So as a born Jamaica who is quite cognizant of our veneer will not tolerate your feeble musing that if only we know...we do know and is why we understand that we are a large nation that sit on small island in the Caribbean

As a white Christian European American man of modest economic status yet high educational and vocational attainment I can relate VP Harris as a person endowed with family-cultural wealth that is not measured in dollars. People whose inherited wealth exempts them from personal struggle (describing ALL Republican presidents in recent memory) show weakness of intellect and character, while politicians like Kamala Harris show ‘good breeding’ to repurpose a posh term, in that both her parents were bourgeoisie who excelled vocationally through assiduous and ethical performance built on good values taught by their own parents. This kind of generational wealth of cultural, spiritual and intellectual gifts is the kind that redounds to the benefit of whole societies and builds the general social wealth.
