... but fails to see that Harris is avoiding the race/woman/I could be first focus because it's electorally toxic. Julia, and I respect her work, is a stereotype at the ABC: highly educated white woman from a comfortable background. It's just not convincing to the millions who genuinely face an uphill battle to respect and power, media or otherwise, to hear the complaining about how hard it is, the very narrow, specific, personal version of struggle. These privileged ABC women were happy to pile on the Senator Payman, for example. They are chummy with the Murdoch journalists who pipe out racism every day. So, no, Harris is being very careful to be "likeable", because that means NOT being a narcissistic hypocrite. You have to be the OPPOSITE of Trump, not just a lighter version. And Julia Baird seriously; "her ability to be tough on borders" ? You gotta be kidding. This 'are you likable' thing is also a figment of feminist imagination. Men and Women are equally ... In fact Trump's personality and 'likeability' is clearly what his opposition attack him for... Kamala has a free pass there in compared to the critique Trump gets. So, just rubbish biased analysis from Baird there. Also the apologist angle for the Democratic cause repeatedly from Baird really is jarring, Barron is far more straight down the line.

Kamala demonstrates a hallmark of excellence. Her rise to the presidency is not about her. It is about the people of America. She will shy away from speaking about anything except her past achievements and her future policy plans. In terms of Trump's almost insane racial and gender slights, once again, it is not about her. She's not going to sink to Trump's level. I have so much respect for her on both accounts. Kamala never was the border czar. That is the role of the head of homeland security. Her role was to source the roots of migration and address those roots within the countries from where the immigrants stemmed. She's explained that countless times. I so wish people would actually to what she says, rather than fairly randomly criticise her.

she was elected in the primary. just bc u think her interview wasn't great doesn't make it a fake primary. idk why ur fired up about her interview being unacceptable when biden said "vice president trump" and mixed up Putin & Zelensky (one is an enemy! one is an ally!). since the modern election system was invented in america a sitting president has *never* lost the primary to a challenger. if biden hadn't dropped out of the race it's almost certain he would've won the primary. if you think kamala's interview was bad, biden's would've been so much worse given his debate mistakes, but i doubt you wouldn't have said that "shows why we needed a real primary". lovingly signed, an australian. also just as a side note, 2 of our Prime Ministers (President equivalent) were replaced by people that Australians never elected as Prime Minister. Gough Whitlam actually got ousted because of your CIA (not a conspiracy lol, it's very well documented that they were *very* mad that he wanted to pull Australian troops out of Vietnam and worked to get him removed), and Kevin Rudd got ousted because he made enemies with mining companies and major polluters for *daring* to try and tax them more on the money they got from mining Australian resources on Australian soil instead of private shareholders. So if you think you had it bad, know that we had it so much worse because of you guys haha. check out friendly jordies if you're interested
