Thank you for the review. Daimon is actually a demon of the nature. The whole story is about finding hope. Daimon is digging for hope while the other creatures (humans) are doing everything in their power to ruin the search. In the end there is no hope...

This video made me check out their other songs, and I am a fan now, so thank you! If you want to do another reaction i suggest Tornekratt, which i have listened to many times each day for the past week.

Nothing is like a good Black metal vibe to get in touch with your dark side! Definetely will recommend some songs from the genre in the future! Also, the part when you are trying to sing/mimic the melody to Alena and she got that look! Remind me of myself a little...

Just keep in mind. That like at least a third of Americans are extremely tolerant. They will never listen to such music. It's all made by bearded white dudes believing in Asatru. For example the Borzum lead singer is considered an "evil racist". This music is definitely not for pinky communists.

I had not heard about this band before, but I clicked since I am from Norway. I enjoyed the song and your reaction very much.

Now that the black metal seal has been properly broken, you should definitely explore Batushka - Yekteniya 3; Behemoth - O Father, O Satan, O Sun; Watain - Nuclear Alchemy; but especially (!!!) Mgla - Exercises in Futility V! That last one is truly special!

I don't know... the vocals and instruments were all clearly audible and distinct... are we *sure* this is black metal?! 🤪 Seriously though, I liked the song (and video), and this is a band I probably never would have come across on my own, so thanks Ken! Also... I guess you guys will have to start in on Mastodon, now that their name has been invoked!

Lol! :D Did you hear the Mastodon too or just me? I need to find which song it was that I was thinking of.

@@BradAlenaMetalReactions I didn't notice at first, but I listened again after you mentioned it, and heard a few stylistic similarities. The one you mentioned (the "slow and low" vocals in the verse) is the one that jumps out at me the most. It sounds a lot like a vocal melody Troy sang somewhere on 'Leviathan' or 'Crack The Sky'... but I can't think of which song from those albums it is specifically. It is interesting how much similarity there is vocally between the bands - specifically how each band uses numerous distinct vocal styles (and how similar the various styles are between the bands). I wonder if Kampfar has multiple vocalists, like Mastodon does, or if it is just one singer using a variety of techniques. Ken will have to let us know! 🤓
