Underrated band, should have been bigger than they were. 'Miracle' is such a great album.

It is one of my favourite albums. Every song is such high quality. I have been listening to it since its release in 1987. Not far off forty years ago, frightening!

Unfortunately, poor marketing and promotion. There were many UK bands I love like them that I concluded out of frustration were just unfortunately didn't work for less open-minded radio programmers.

They weren't very stand out if we're honest. The fact they did a number of cover versions was also probably a sign that the rest of their material wasn't great.

Usually the answer to that is poor record company support. Most record companies wouldn’t know a hit if it bit them. They only worry about if someone is pretty or not. Will they sell to 12 year old girls?

The Graham Pearson version of Don't Look Any Further is where I slightly alter the third line of the first verse, "What you need is a lover, some guy to take over, Ooh Babe Don't Look Any Further" instead of singing, "What you need is a lover, some man to take over, Oh Girl Don't Look Any Further". Siedah Garrett's lines are sung by the deputy lead vocalist. Instead of a guitar in the middle eight, the band used a trombone.

This is better than the original Dennis Edward hit a few years before and also preferred TKGs version of Respect Yourself in '84 which Bruce Willis also covered a few years later. Closest thing to Heaven still sounds great to this day almost 40 years later.

This version from Kane Gang more masculine than other version but the challenge is voice and tone little reach the resonance it needs more advanced skill. Dennis kind hit that but still the key of the song restricted that. That my opinion

it did not beat Dennis Edwards and Siedah Garrett version, their cover is not better. The girls vocals are not better than siedah. It is nice to hear, but I don't see the point of them covering the song, if it is exactly the same thing.

Dennis Edwards was a powerhouse vocalist. This is a pleasant homage but it does not touch the original. I've always appreciated the reverence British pop and rock group demonstrated for American Black music.
