So just twist your foot and knee while your opponent tries to jump with his whole weight on ur leg, what could ho wrong

I think your missing the base, posture, and connection aspect of the defense. By creating a strong base, his entry is weak, by having good posture, and balance I’m able to step out and counter.

@@thomaswilliams3426 he felt threatend you'd lift him up so he tried inside hook with his inner leg then you lifted him up with that leg and his back so he tried to hook with the other leg so he wouldnt get thrown, if he really jumps from the side with his hand on the mat, going for both of ur legs and u twist like that seems very dangerous

I don’t have a rule against it, but it’s not encouraged either, I stopped teaching it almost a decade ago, I use it against my upper belts sometimes but I feel confident in my technique, this guy was a visiting from another school also.
