Yeah I think the issue with "Good" is its subjective. For example MOST people would define a person who would endanger not only THEIR lives but the lively hood of their families as well as "not good". I would agree with that. Not only does a person waste resources on drugs (time and money) but if they were to pass it will devastate their loved ones ( emotionally and financially). The thing about drugs and addiction that most people never discuss is that you have to try the drug first before you can get addicted. I'm 44 and in my life time even as a child I was educated on the dangers of drugs. I guarantee anybody younger than me has as well. Choosing to do the drug is a completely selfish act that most people wouldn't consider "good". That's just a reality most people never except responsibility for. To be clear I was a crack addict 25 years ago. I CHOSE to use a drug that I knew wasn't good for me. I fully accepted responsibility for my actions and acknowledged my own selfishness in that chose. It's that brutal truth that allowed me break that habit. This soft approach of "addiction is a desease" helps no one. It makes them a helpless victim when in reality they are the REASON for the addiction. It's the chose to do a drug you knew damn well causes addiction that's the issue. Which in most peoples mind negates the "good" person title. Goods subjective though so just explaining why people may have that view.

Those three guys took the same drugs, and that why they went outside and froze to death. They ALL went to sleep for 48 hours. It's just that three of them did it outside, one of them did it inside. I don't understand how people say "omg how can 3 grown men freeze to death outside" and say it must be drugs. But then are like "omg how can a grown man sleep for 2 days on the couch" and say its not the same drugs the other three most likely took. I feel terrible for these family members. They had to reach out to social media to get this story out there probably knowing what they might face. But what choice did they have not getting any help from the local L.E. it's just awful. I hope they know there are people out here that are trying to be respectful and feeling the pain too. God Bless all of the family members and especially the children. Pray for them to get some answers soon. ❤🙏❤️

As someone who lost their fiancé to an OD, many friends and now work at a rehab (meaning we see this a lot, and I was her two years ago) when you’re more concerned about clearing up rumors online said by complete strangers, you’re just trying to save as much dignity as possible for family and the deceased. Did they go outside to smoke after Jordan was already asleep? They either went outside to smoke, or they went outside because they felt hot. One of them had no jacket. Acute alcohol intoxication can also cause a person to feel overheated, even though their body is losing heat. Why do people always blame the survivors? Jordan was on a bender in his own home and had no idea his friends used his backyard to smoke and pass out. It wasn't a daycare center. He wasn't responsible for watching them.

Sad sad sad all way around no matter how we look at this mysterious case...I believe that the mystery will be solved when toxicology reports are completed, and what's even sadder is if in fact drugs were involved they will point the finger at the home owner and try and charge him with 3 counts of man slaughter,but I honestly hope there's a logical explanation for this, for the sake of the families peace of mind.
@physics4290
7 ай бұрын
Why would you assume the homeowner was involved? They could have waited for him to go to sleep before going outside to smoke something one of them had. These were grown ass men, and they are responsible for what they put in their own bodies. Alcohol and exposure are both going to be contributing factors in their deaths. There may be cannabis laced with fentanyl as well. Good luck figuring out who put the fentanyl in the cannabis, if that is even what happened. Next time you have a killer hangover, see how you feel if your phone blows up and people keep knocking on your door, breaking into your house, and grilling you about everything that happened when you were too stinking drunk to remember.
@moondog9086

@@physics4290 I don't believe that @romantheman1227 is assuming the homeowner is involved but I could be wrong. I understood that the comment said it would be even sadder IF in fact drugs were involved then they will point the finger at the homeowner and try to charge him with 3 counts of manslaughter. I think it's obvious that something went wrong and the guy who just happened to be at home was lucky because he had no reason to go outside. My guess is that the toxicology reports will show that they all had the same substance/s, and being inside is the only reason the one guy survived. I just don't believe he done anything intentional to kill his friends based on what little evidence there is at this time.

@@Fat12219 You don’t just die in a couple of minutes in freezing temperatures. Your body temperature has to drop significantly, and that takes time. I’m not saying that any of them were drug addicts. Alcohol alone will make very bad things happen. I’ve seen the aftermath of alcohol many times and it was tragic. The toxicology tests will answer a lot of questions. However, I know personally that there are many closet drinkers and smokers and drug users who can hide it well. Not saying that is what happened but this seems like a tragic, alcohol related accident. I feel bad for the relatives. This is a difficult loss for them,

You don't have to be a drug addict to die from using drugs. In fact, it's usually novice users which die from mixing multiple drugs, like booze, weed, coke, mdma, and mushrooms, all at once. Americans in particular seem to be susceptible to this, because they seem to treat anything involving ingestion of unhealthy amounts of literally anything and everything into a competition sport. For the record, drug addicts aren't bad people. I understand her grief but this narrative that drug addicts are bad people simply has to stop. Literally no one wakes up one morning and decides "I'm going to be a drug addict." Literally, not once, ever, has that ever happened. Drug addicts are people, full stop.

Someone can not be an addict and still do drugs; and she also went on to say she thinks they were drugged. Listening to her is like listening to an insane person. Drugs fit the circumstances; doesn't mean that's what happened, but meth makes you crash for days, and it also makes you think you're warm when you're not...all behavior/deaths can be explained by meth. Doesn't mean they did meth, but her take is clearly insane; whether due to trauma or she's just not logical is undetermined.

As a counselor and in recovery, I’ve been saying this for years- We shame those with addiction and have made no progress. Jordan’s own shame in his alcohol/drug use might be the simple explanation for his behavior. When things don’t fit into a world view, we search for things that do. If you take the world view of an addict, tho, you can easily see how this could play out multiple ways and fit the scene. Below freezing? Let’s go! Close our eyes under the stars… beautiful! Fall asleep and never wake up? That’s how it usually happens. In fact, if these guys were non-addicts on a football fueled bender… it’d be more dangerous since their bodies wouldn’t handle it the same.
