These folks were willing to integrate and saw tolerance and equality of others as part of the culture to embrace. They learned the laws and complied. They were willing to be equal and work side by side in cooperation. Good for them! My sister and I had friends and housemates from Vietnam and Greece in 1974 at the time that there was danger and flight from their countries due to war. They were very afraid for their families and lost contact. We were all at Emporia State College then. Cambodia students and Thai students also lived with me in a house the year before.

@@jerrysullivan8424 Not sure why. I know the sandwich shop closed 10 years ago and the asian market closed in late 2015 or early 2016. I remember the last time I went there was to get a drink walking back from the Royals WS parade.
