what about subjective universality on beauty? You didn’t even talk about the main thing that distinguished the beautiful from the other two categories.
@AlexeiMichalopoulos

great video, but at a few points throughout you used "objective" where "universal" would be better, since judgments of beauty are described as "subjective" (emanating from the subject or invidual, since the rational human is making the judgement) and "universal" (any rational human would agree and make the same judgement, experiencing pleasure of displeasure). Therefore, saying "objective" is at least misleading the viewer.

if what you said is true, then any object or painting that is just an "clusterfuck of different shapes or colors" or "scribble" would cause freeplay bc it is not in understanding and is therefore beautiful, but that doesn't happen

Not true, if the mind doesn’t have at least some kind of form to latch on to it will just match it to the concept of “chaos” or “disorder”

The Kinkade is objectively more beautiful than the Kandinsky, though, so I guess Kant was objectively wrong on beauty. Oh well.

If Kant is what you are explained then sorry to say that Kant don't understand the human psychology and consequently beauty at all. Or the host don't understand Kant. What been said here is pure nonsense.

This is pretty much what Kant thought, so Andrew is safe there. But I'm interested in hearing why you label these thoughts as "pure nonsense" - isn't there some truth or value to be found here?

@@yourMTFlord There are three levels of cognition or judgement, the first is biological (intuition), the second is emotional (no abstract text needed) and the third rational. there is two ways you may say some idea is objective: one is from science (we expect science while not accept it as directly as objective, since we still have to scrutinize it further) and the second is if the idea, after we truly reflected it, is at the level biological ( if it is biological, it is from human nature, and I accept that it is objectively true.). The emotional judgement comes partly from nurture and partly from personal character or with the increase of intellectual advancement, one transforms the abstract idea into metaphor, therefore a new emotional idea can have been emerged and get into the emotional realm and to replace the pure rational idea (transform the data to something meaningful and emotional). the earliest developed is biological, the second is emotional and the last is rational and rational transformed emotional idea. If you accept my argument, then ask yourself: 1. if the judgement of beauty is objective? 2. if the idea of beauty can be disinterested? 3. if the beauty can be related to goodness? or truth? (not in terms of biological instinct, but morally)? And conclude yourself what says in this video is non sense.

This is a video reflecting on an interpretation of Kant's ideas , its not "objective", and comes across to me also as in conflict to what I understand Kant intended to settle, that Beauty doesn't reside in the object (objectively) as Plato proposed, but will be an interpretation of the mind.
