A close look at the second formulation of the Categorical Imperative (humanity as an end), as we find it in the Second Section of Kant's Grounding for the Metaphysics of Morals. I'll explain why Kant needs the second formulation, and I'll try to think about what it might mean to take this formulation seriously.
