I’m glad a lot of people are taking time to watch the full speech rather than taking the out of context clips. Being there was kinda hard cause it really felt like someone people were there to exclusively try and get a rise out of kanye. A lot of people were being disrespectful, cutting him off, cursing at him, and taking his words at face value. It was difficult to watch someone be so brutally antagonized for his opinions and thoughts.

It's crazy to think that just 1 year ago when this first came out, everyone thought Kanye turned insane when he said this stuff out loud. But now listening closely and paying attention to what he's saying, you can see that he talks about how many companies and industries don't actually care for people and how America is truly corrupt by it's modern standard of politics! I genuinely like Kanye's music overall and to be honest at first I was pretty skeptical on his politics when this rally came into play, but really the truth is people immediately play stuff out a certain way and take clips out of context. Overall, I now have a lot of respect for Kanye and his performance in this rally. When you really look into it he speaks about issues with full honesty and that really is what a candidate should be!

There's no way this is the same rally that was posted on TMZ, social media, etc. It's disgusting how they can take 10 seconds and turn it into something that makes him look like a monster. At the end of the day, if these social media platforms posted something like "Kanye West's rally went very well and he made some good points", almost no one would click on that.

Overall, I think Kanye had good and bad points, and I think with more and different perspectives, he could be one of the greatest presidents, he simply lacked, in this speech, the knowledge on certain topics and with connecting points or staying on track, but that's neither here nor there. I think Kanye's community-based societal design is what the country needs, and we need to shift away from focus on capital and instead focus on the wellbeing of our communities and families. I think Kanye has the best intentions and he was preaching on things like abortion, I think he overall wants a redesign of the adoption system and foster system, I think he wants financial packages for children which is a great idea, and most of these ideas very closesly align with a socialist idea of how the economy should be built, I just don't think he recognizes that fully. Of course, when it comes to gun control, I disagree with the idea that everyone should be armed in case of a foreign government taking over. For one thing, gun control in its most comprehensive form advocates for mental health background checks, federal and state background checks with updated records, and overall ideology, for instance it would be foolish to give guns to someone who had clearly expressed prejudice against groups of people, or people who express the want to overthrow a local or federal government, however that is much, much less likely than a hate crime.

@@rose_d_mary However, I'm mixed about abortions. My opinion is that abortions should only be legal to those who were raped or involved in an abusive relationship, other than that, they knew what they were getting into and should be more responsible. Also, I would give incentives, such as community programs, money, etc, to families who don't have the resources to raise a child, so that they won't result to abortions. My opinion is pretty much Kanye's, but it's expanded.

Kanye starts getting really manic towards the end he ripped that girl apart and the crowd getting so rowdy was tough to watch. This must've been such a surreal experience. He has some good ideas and intentions but he's such a divisive figure and definitely misguided in a lot of ways. The crowd didn't know what to do. It felt more like an experimental art installation than a presidential rally. He wraps it up perfectly at the end though with, "THAT WAS EXTREMELY GOOD. THAT WAS EXTREMELY BAD. But we made it 2020."

I think kanye appreciates that he's come from a well educated humble background and he's talking like a sociologist ( Sociology is the study of social life, social change, and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. Sociologists investigate the structure of groups, organizations, and societies and how people interact within these contexts.) Kanye is a sensitive kind man, who comes across to me who only wants to make the right changes in society through education, interaction, tolerance. I think its awful how the media tried to paint him as crazy, having a mental breakdown, but the reality is that he is a sensitive soul , who's intentions are good x
