कराड विशेष अख्खा मसूर बनवण्यासाठी लागणारे साहित्य
• २ चमचे तेल
• १ चमचा जिरं
• बारीक चिरलेली लसूण
• ३ मध्यम आकाराचे बारीक चिरलेले कांदे
• १ चमचा कांदा लसूण मसाला
• १ चमचा लाल तिखट
• चवीनुसार मीठ
• अख्खा मसूर
• जरुरीनुसार पाणी
• बारीक चिरलेली कोथिंबीर

Akhha means whole. Here we are using whole lentil or masoor for this recipe. It is rich in protein and fibers. It also helps lower cholesterol and regulate blood pressure. It is a traditional Maharashtrian recipe. This is very easy and simple. It requires simple ingredients available in your pantry. Try this recipe at home and write to me. Ingredients:
• 2 tsp Oil
• 1 tsp Cumin seeds
• Finely chopped Garlic
• 3 medium size finely chopped Onions
• 1 tsp Kanda lasun masala
• 1 tsp Red chili powder
• Salt to taste
• Akhha Masoor / Brown Lentil
• Water as needed
• Finely chopped Coriander leaves
Method:
• Heat up oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
• When cumin seeds splutter add garlic and fry it.
• Add onion and fry well until they are cooked well for about 15-20 minutes.
• Add kanda lasun masala, red chili powder, salt and mix well.
• Wash masoor well and soak it in enough water for about 2 hours.
• Add the soaked masoor and mix well.
• Add water and mix well.
• Cook on medium heat for at least 30 minutes.
• Make sure you don’t cover it with lid while cooking.
• Add coriander leaves and mix well.
• Turn off the gas and akhha masoor is ready.
