Normally you dont wanna do any kicking in a fight because of how risky and inaccurate it can be. That's why that one guy was losing instead of keeping his balance.
@philipshapkin6607

tell that to a muay thai fighter. kicks are good just not spin kicks. ah maybe even they have a good use but its rare. in a street fight yeah kicks are too risky for sure but in a ring any kickboxer would piece up a regular boxer. i would know i did boxing for 6 years and ive fought people who can kick

@@philipshapkin6607 me too I'm been doing self defense training for almost 2 decades now. Street fights are random and unpredictable anything can happen but in the ring because it's such a controlled area you can get away with alot of things there. Lol

@@Mrs.StealUrHusband well i think the biggest difference is weapons or having more than one opponent. 1 on 1 in a street fight a muay thai guy will kill a boxer. i think boxing is great against multiple opponents tho cuz mwny time the boxer knocks people out quick with minimal risk of losing balance. what kinda self defence u do?? honestly idk if i believe in most of it but ig its the best way to go if your opponent is armed.
@Mrs.StealUrHusband

@@philipshapkin6607 well fighting more than one person or fighting someone with a weapon is already a huge advantage But it mostly still depends on multiple factors like the location of the fight or if the people involved have any experience at all. Also they dont use weapons in muay thai and just because someone know must thai doesn't mean they're automatically gonna win. The greatest Muay Thai boxer and even the Undisputed heavyweight champion of boxing can still get pretty banged up in a fight because street fighting is literally nothing like sports. That's what they are, they're not even self defense technically. But they are still cool tho. Me on the other hand I trained in situational awareness fighting. It's my own personal method after being taught Krav Maga by my boyfriend's father who was originally a seal team six member which I thought was super duper cool. It's cute actually because he taught me when I was a little girl when he saw me and his son wrestling each other and I ending up getting into a conversation with his dad about what sexual abuse was after one of his ex girlfriends ended up getting raped and so he give some free defense tips just in case. Thankfully I never needed to used them but I can never b 2 careful lol.
