All these people claiming that Kareem dunked on Robert Parish and not Larry Bird have no idea what they’re talking about. Either that or they’re just bias Bird fans. Yes, Kareem spun off Parish and got to the rim. At that point Bird contested the dunk but Kareem still slammed it. He dunked on Bird. Parish wasn’t in the play after Kareem got around him. Literally just watch the video lol.

I’m more impressed by Bird’s IQ to recognize where the ball was gonna go and what Kareem was going to do. Bird just wasn’t athletic and long enough to block a 7’2” center’s dunk.

I was a Laker fan since the mid 70's. Went to a few finals games in the 80's. No longer watch the NBA. Don't like the style of play anymore. The game has turned into a 3 pt shooting match and players lack fundamental skills. Great athletes with low IQs. Lots of ball hogs. The midrange game is becoming extinct along with the importance of the center position.

Daniel Pires this is actually horribly wrong. He was 7’2” . Mark Eaton was in the league and he was two inches taller. Ralph Sampson was also 7’4” and the tallest player was actually on the team with KAJ, Chuck Nevitt

reason Kobe and Jordan didnt get dunk on was because they never try to stop a straight dunks like that but bird just like LeBron do they not afraid of the moment ...I saw Kobe givin up in a lot of open dunks other players had like he does have a chance but his body language was like nahhhhh I ain't getting in that poster ...credit to bird and LeBron u call that hustle not giving anything easy out there

@Jose Borjon • The 1982-83 season belonged to Moses Malone and the 76ers, no doubt about it. Malone and the Sixers won all 6 games against Abdul-Jabbar and the Lakers(both Regular season games and the 4 games in the Finals). After that, Malone beat Kareem only 3 times, losing 7 times
