Hello Thank you for all the good information. Want to visit Ladakh in August. Arrive by bus/taxi to Kargil then Rangdum, Padum, Kargil and Leh. My questions 1. Is it so doable and without much stress. 2. The best thing will probably be that I rent a taxi from Kargil how much does it cost per day? 3. It will surely be better if I reserve the taxi from Kargil? 4. I wrote to a few people on your list who either don't understand English or don't respond.

@discoverwithdheeraj
Жыл бұрын
Sudip bhai, it shall be OK to travel during that time. From Jispa, just leave as early as possible so that there isn't much water in the water crossings before Gonbo Rangjon. After that there aren't any big water crossings and roads are dirt track but manageable.

I traveled to the Zanskar Valley back in 2021 through Kargil-Padum route and came back to Leh via Lingshed-SingeLa-Photoksar route… I would definitely say this region is one of the most beautiful places in India. Back then network connectivity was pretty poor in places like Purne and Kurgiakh but it was surprising to see that Jio connectivity was way better than the BSNL… All the local people and drivers were mostly using jio sims…

That is awesome, must have been more raw than it is today. Lucky you :) .. and yeah the quality of JIO is far better than BSNL anyday. Just that still in some areas only BSNL exists but not too far that it will all be JIO there.
