Andrew Huberman is a pseudoscience grifter who gives faulty medical information to the masses while also maintaining close ties to alt-right fascists and Qanon/MAGA types like little man Jocko, Rogan, and J. Peterson, etc. Real medical professionals see Hubermans grift from a mile away. Disgraceful.

47:40 this is legitimately the best thing about skateboarding. Being hyped on your friends progress. It's so beautiful. You hang out with this same crew day in, day out, and you all know each others likes, dislikes, favourite skaters, favourite teams, style, their bangers, their funny little goofy tricks, you know what they can and can't do right now, and then they nail that trick they've been talking about and you're genuinely stoked, genuinely proud of them. Because they aren't in competition with you, they're your homies : )

The stories of him getting hyped for others, regardless of ability, are absolutely true. I remember being 12 years old at Pier 7 and doing a very “little kid” manual trick. Karl yelled out and clapped when I landed it. It made me so hyped. It’s a little gesture, but has a huge impact on others, especially when we’re young. His skating, style, and attitude are what make him a legend.

Seems countless people have had the same sort of interaction with Karl - running into him at Pier 7 or 3rd & Army, and he makes a point of saying what's up, or giving props if he sees you land something you had been working on. I personally experienced that on 2 different trips to SF, and Mike York had the same sort of vibe - says hi to everyone at the spot and is just generally friendly. I remember Karl had his son with him skating an OG Tony Hawk Powell board with the crazy Lamar snowboard style nose one time at 3rd & Army, and he recognized my friend's brand on the tee I was wearing, was super hyped and told me to say hi for him. Best dude.
