his voice reminds me of a young sting in the beginning. just heard this song for the first time yesterday (already listened to their previous albums, just not this one) and I've listened to it over 20 times already.

Guys..this is awesome, I'm an old fart by all terms, I wrote the Poem "Eidolon" many years ago which is why I came here. I'm always trying to beat the kids to good new tunes...this rocks.

That riff at 2:41 was one of the highlights of their live set last year. Such impact to it. I was also drunk.

Lyrics I couldn't hide my face to claim my innocence I wouldn't have the sense to keep going on Maybe I'm just too proud to stand in your defense Still I feel the pull of hidden wires I'm never gonna draw a line I dared to speak my mind When all your changes made before Don't seem to change a thing at all You need You need I wouldn't find my place with this poor disguise Why can't I face myself without these lies? I couldn't find my path without knowing it I've been around every turn I know what's left is right I'll never let it die I tried, I dared to free my mind And all the same changes as before Don't seem to change a thing at all I'm never gonna try I know that I won't go back It started with a smile, I know But it won't come back This is real! Should've seen it coming 'Cause now I'm feeling nothing I was taken far beneath the middle I'm never gonna try (Should have seen it coming) I know that I won't go back ('Cause now I'm feeling nothing I was taken far beneath the middle) It started with a smile, I know (Should have seen it coming 'Cause now I'm feeling nothing) But it won't come back (I was taken far beneath the middle)

Eidolon was a character in the final fantasy series. I think themata is a stylized 'themes'??? I dont know for sure, this is just what I think.
@SchizoidPersonoid

There are many references to European mythology throughout the Final Fantasy series. "Eidolon" comes from ancient Greece and is a spirit-image of a living or dead person. "Themata" is the plural of "thema" and is also Greek.

I like the songs themselves. but I don't like the mix of this album in general. compare it to the depth/clarity/balance of the others to see what I mean.
