What is nowadays commonly referred to as “Kashmir Shaivism” forms part of a much broader tradition of Tantra, which from ~ 600-1200 exerted a strong influence on spiritual practice, philosophy, arts, and culture throughout India and the Far East through Tibet, China, Mongolia, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Bali. This talk briefly introduces the greater Tantra context of Kashmir Shaivism.
