The 2 games kash lost were the two games they went 2nd. Just like kash in real life. Deck struggles going 2nd to begin with, and they're going against some of the best going first decks. Ishizu tear getting 9 wins is going to be a tough record to beat. Drawing e con to out the iblee and crescendo was an insane grab of prosperity, but even that was not enough. Deck would have lost to iblee alone

I think this should have been a list playing shifter. Not everyone plays it nowdays due to expecting a lot of mirror matches, but on an open field like this, being able to play shifter is a HUGE boost to kashtira.

here's an idea: all of the challanger should always go 2nd, since the best deck should be able to go 2nd. and also as the other one says: kashtira shouldve used shifter, as it is their iconic card and power card. not including it is just like ishtear doesnt play millers ishizu, because all other matchup is also tears and another idea: go 2nd striker as challengers

Gosh Kashtira's engine is really kind of awkward into 'negate boards', isn't it? I do think that the comparison might be fairer w/ shifter, but I do think that this is fair enough in it's own way too - you aren't always drawing the card that invalidates 90% of decks. I don't think we need to see lithium playing out the matches where they shifter and then their opponent passes on nothing ^^ I'd be interesting to see like, lab or vs or something - a 'fair' and more mid-range-y to control deck but that's up to date. I'm also curious how full power Superheavy Samurai stacks up to these, since it's very much a wombo combo deck from an earlier age, in some ways.

Wow. Kashtira might well be one of the stronger decks we've ever seen, BUT it's weaknesses were somewhat exposed here. Unlike Ishizu Tearlament they aren't able to play through things quite as well. If they set up their board, it was absolute GG every single time...but getting there was not consistent. Not a strong performance going just 4-2 vs pre-2021 decks, considering their cards are incredibly individually powerful. Tearlament absolutely showed out like a beast...Kashtira not so much.
